Join me on a drive from the Melbourne CBD to the regional centre of Frankston in the city's south eastern suburbs. We'll be taking the M3 freeway, which comprises the Eastern Freeway, EastLink tollway, and Frankston Freeway.

What if you did weirder paths like - A300/B300 Lilydale to Benalla to Geelong - SH40 Edithvale to Altona - TD2 Warrandyte to Williamstown - B110 Geelong to Queenscliffe and South Melbourne to Portsea
I like the soundtrack of this video and it also includes "Blinding Lights" and "Levitating" which are theoretically the #1 songs of 2020 and 2021, respectively, well in North America. Those song are part of my high school days.
Awesome drive and great to see you down in Melbourne! The M1 interchange is quite impressive seen from EastLink, but doesn't beat the M4 at M7 interchange in Sydney in my opinion! That being said, EastLink is sort of what the M7 should have been; 3 lanes each way! :D
Thanks mate! Yes, the M4/M7 Light Horse Interchange is actually the largest in the Southern Hemisphere. However, Melbourne does have much more interchanges between motorways than Sydney.
Coincidentally, the M3 is called "EastLink" and the M7 is called "WestLink" Im saying this cause the M3 is the better M7 and both motorways are Link motorways lol
The M3 looks like a pretty cool road. I've always really liked some of the coloured acrylic sound barriers that seem to be common on some Australian motorways. They have a cool and modern vibe. Nice work on the video.
Back in year 2000s my dad drives on Punt Road and I was very curious about the Fwy but we never entered until around year 2005 finally entered before Eastlink did not exist.
Great drive! How would you compare Baltimore-Washington Parkway (Maryland Route 295) to Majura Parkway (M23)? Here's the full drive: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-a44ITxrQk_0.html
Thanks, from what I've heard the Baltimore-Washington Parkway was specifically designed to give drivers an enjoyed and scenic drive, especially when compared to the parallel I-95. It has to be one of the more beautiful expressways in the world.
Great Drive! Looking forward to you doing the M11 Mornington Peninsula Freeway when you get the time since they just opened a new part of it last year from Dingley Bypass to Springvale Rd.
You didn't mention - Eastern Freeway used to be part of route 83 (literally Freeway 83) until Eastlink was built - Frankston Freeway and most of the Mooroduc Highway used to be part of route 11 until Peninsula Link was built (which is also a tollway of sorts), then the C777 ring to Flinders was extended back to the M3 and the C787 was extended further down the M11
