Here is Part 2 of a driving video showing my journey in and around the Barbadian capital, Bridgetown. This time the journey begins at Whitepark Road on the city's outskirts, leaving the city and heading up to Warrens, one of Barbados' busiest commercial districts. The journey takes us through several areas such as Bank Hall, Waterford (where the national stadium is located) and Green Hill.
Although Warrens is not one of the four main towns of Barbados, it does have all the makings of a mini-city. This former sugar cane plantation is a busy shopping, commercial, and residential area with reliable bus routes connecting it to other towns and commercial districts such as Haggatt Hall, Six Roads, Oistins and Speightstown. It is a major gateway to Bridgetown, particularly for residents of the northern, western, and central parts of the island. The ABC and Ronald Mapp Highways both meet in this area.
