You drove here exactly as I drove in June 2018 during my roadtrip through Norway. On this section it was almost dark (must have been around 11pm), and I remember that there was a cable car in Loen up to a mountain over the fjoed, the views from up there must be magnificent, unfortuntaley I was quite in a hurry and had to drive further to Utvik.
Yeah, i went up the cable car at loen as well, a magnificent view from there indeed, got some footage from that, Once I am done with my driving videos. ill start editing and posting those recordings
Love your channel! I have an Iceland Route 1 trip planned as well as a drive through Norway. Covid screwed my Iceland trip so I have to wait until hopefully next year. I am doing Iceland and the Faroe Islands (if you ever get a chance to make a trip to the Faroe Islands, you should, its like Iceland but smaller and through 18 islands).
Thank you! and sad to hear about your plan to iceland, Iceland was my first major road trip and one of the best experiences of my life to drive the ringroad of iceland. and yeah Faroe islands is on my list. but will probly be a year or 2
@@LurksWorld awesome! The Faroe Islands are amazing, I've only been there once back in 03 and all I can tell you is the scenery and drive is breath taking
17:40 One of my late forefathers was born at one of these farms we can see here. He was drafted into the army in 1815. He never returned. Found his spouse in Bergen who had been born in Loen where this video ends. Not far away from where the Alexandra Hotel today is situated though I don't believe they had learned to know each other then.
Thats a great story of your forefathers on how they ended up in Bergen, funny how life works sometimes. Those Farms have been around for a long time as well then.
