Thanks for sharing. I use to travel from San Diego to SeaTac, Port Angeles, Tacoma and Bremerton to work on ships. Loved the cold weather months while on my trips. Sure brings back good memories while looking at your video. Sure do miss the PNW! Thanks again!
I love it when you talk during the video! If it was just silent it would be a little boring to be honest. I can’t wait to move to Washington and your videos make it much more exciting!
Watching from Norman, Oklahoma! As a PNW native transplanted onto the plains of Oklahoma, your videos and narration make my heart happy! I haven’t lived there in 25 years but I miss it so much! Glad I found your channel! You’re giving me something amazing to look at while I drink my morning coffee, haha! Keeps me sane until I can afford to return to Washington for a visit.
I was born in Snohomish 75 years ago. I lived in Monroe until I was 11. I want to come back for a visit but probably never will. It is a very beautiful part of the country. This is sooooo nostalgic and beautiful.
Thanks for your videos, especially the Seattle ones. I used to work in offices in downtown Seattle and appreciated seeing what it was like there these last couple of years. Enjoy your walks whether you are talking or not. You do you! Happy holidays and may 2022 be good for us all.
I lived in seattle from 1995-2000 we had a few snows while I was there, it was so much fun to drive around in it there. I spent time in the mountains in the winter. So I knew how to drive in it.
It's not just NW inexperienced snow drivers - it's also an extreme lack of snow/ice removal trucks because we get so little snow, they don't have a big budget. So, often times, we can be near downtown, but if it is still snowing, we can have zero support in our less traveled streets because they are busy keeping the main lines open - and only the main lines.
Clever name for the channel!! Nice Snowmaggedon coverage 😁 YT suggested this video, I guess because I'm from the Seattle area 😅 P.S. Lumen Field - also home of the Seattle Sounders FC ⭐💙💚⭐
Very brave of you to go out driving in the snow.. I woke up, peeked out the window, saw all that white s__t, and said "Yikes! Staying home today! I'll make my own coffee!" Thanks for the video. The white s__t is actually kind of pretty, if someone besides me is doing the driving. Happy Christmas week.🎅🏻
This is pretty funny . You could have walked with Yak tracks and ski poles . I use to live in Seattle in the 1970 s and 80 s . Nice to watch this and I have so many fond memories of walking home with my friend from Queen Anne High to her home on Bellevue Bellevue and Bellevue , then on to mine at 15 th and Aloha on Capitol hill . We would take the old stairs from the High school to Aurora and cross it back then . We were in great shape Im sure too ! I miss that town. ♥️🔔🌨ty 🆒⛄️❄️☃️❄️☃️❄️☃️♥️
So lovely to see the city blanketed in snow, and the hear your perspective. My kids are certainly enjoying it-can’t believe these low temperatures we are getting! And to think there is still more to come…
From Baker city never got to see what Seattle looked like until you videoed it. Thank- you so very much it was very enjoyable. Merry Christmas and a happy new year 🎄🎁👍😊
Enjoyed seeing a snow-covered Seattle. Looks beautiful there at night with the city lights and reflections. How strange there is more snow in Seattle than here in Wisconsin so far this year! Thank you for the great tour 😍👍❄
Thanks for the ride and happy ending (finding coffee). It looked so beautiful and peaceful. Hope you made it up the hill to your home. We used to watch people try to drive up the hill on Beach Dr when we lived in West Seattle. We live in Florida now and I sure miss the snow. This was the next best thing.
Excellent Video Mr. Ocean, say what you need to say. I'm here for the scenery and philosophy, and since you asked watching all your wonderful content from sunny San Diego (Oceanside). Looking forward, as always, for more videos... Take care, and thank you...
Yes! Stay home as you said, but driving in town is much more fun! Little or no traffic! My son and his dad watched the Chicago Bears beat the Seattle Sea Hawks this day. Thank you for taking us around…i will be doing this with my cousin next year. My son and I have dozens of cousins there to visit…
Greeting’s from Minnesnowta. We got this storm last night. Was there in October. Couldn’t imagine driving those hills in the snow! Keep talking! I enjoy the commentary!
I'm originally from "The" Bronx, NY. Lived a few years in Bellingham. Also spent much time (almost ten tears in Denver. I've seen a lot of changes in Seattle. Nice to have a little tour with snow on the ground. We got 6 inches in Bellingham.
Nice! Early is over by 6:00 am. (When you're old) growing up south of buffalo ny, we would measure the snow in 1/2 foot increments. You're close to my brothers place. Enjoying the show thanks for posting. john
Seasons greetings from the Olympic Peninsula. I'm snowed in! The snow is up to my knees! I spent Christmas with my two dogs and my cat. I gave them presents from Santa and their gift to me was some purring from kitty and lots of tail wagging from the dogs. "Let it snow, let it, snow let it snow!"
I got to spend time with my son and a famiy we're friends with, that was a really nice time, haven't had a community together celebration in a long time... It was nice!
I have exciting news for Seattle.... We have a brown dirty sandstorm in West Texas...lol...your snow is much prettier ! ( stay safe everyone and happy New Year)
Nice, I'm up in Ballard and was going to go out for coffee too but the car was just a white mound so went to the corner market for teriyaki instead. No coffee joints within a mile up here. Ill get enough come Monday and back to work.
Watching from Calgary, Alberta, Canada where it is currently -18F (but with the windchill if feels like -33F) and snowing lightly. It's it's been a brutally cold Christmas. I'm very happy to have 4 wheel drive and remote starter on my vehicle right now in this weather. Merry Christmas
It is good to hear you say what street you are in as you are driving in the snow. Pike Place scenic view looks beautiful. It is peaceful and quiet -- you should sing carols -- that will wake us up.
Hey I'm watching from a small town in Texas. Good video by the way. My boyfriend's 34 yr old son just moved to Seattle. I wouldn't mind visiting one day. This Christmas I spent it with a loved one my boyfriend and I got myself a studio creater 2 kit so I can film and vlog just like you sir. I had a nice time watching I will be checking your videos out in the future. Keep up the good work 😉😁😁✌️⛄.
Hahah, I went with my mom and watched them lose to the Falcons! Nothing beats freezing my ass off in the stadium watching a losing game but I wouldn't have traded it for anything in the world.
The Starbucks reserve is located in the first Sears & Roebuck company in Seattle. We used to shop there when I was a kid. Then Starbucks purchased the bldg and it was the headquarters around 1993 (I have a friend that worked there for about 10 yrs). The bldg was built in 1915.
Definitely do a tour of PIke Place. I would love to see it packed around the holidays. Also, any chance you could do some one off's like a tour of the first Starbucks store and that pastry shop? You da man!
Snow in Seattle Washington. I bet the city scenery is really beautiful. There's nothing wrong with a video that's Narrative, that makes it more interesting especially when certain neighborhoods, Restaurant's, Places too stay and Recreational Points of interest to visit when visiting Seattle are mentioned. Really enjoy viewing your videos. Stay Safe and Warm Bro.
That's right! Always remember that people who don't like the narrative can listen to their own music while they watch .... there is no need to take away the narration for those who enjoy it :)
Hey Dennis, watching from South Carolina. lived in Seattle 50 years. Nice to see some of the places I used to go. I don't care for Starbuck's either. SBC was my fav. Stay safe on those roads!
Writing to you from Belltown. Could not believe you didn’t go to Top Pot on 5th! So disappointed you settled for Starbucks. Love your video’s and your sense of humor…keep them coming!
what a fun video! cool to see seattle sno'd in! i opted for rooftop & park coffee, lolll so not leaving QA today have a blast, be safe & snowie cheers to you & your partner!!
Appreciate your video but drive isn’t worth the risk of an accident. Surprised staff was able to get to work to open their business. My old employer closed the business on days like this rather then put people at risk. Employees were paid. PS1- looking at the road vast majority stayed in this morning. Thanks for the video! PS2 - looking at tonights forecast you’re in for a hard freeze so all slush or rain will freeze. Come daylight tomorrow temperature will remain around freezing so black ice is a real risk. Sleep in tomorrow or call in. It will be wild in the streets tomorrow
This video brings back pleasant memories when I took the train up from San Diego and stayed in the hostel just walking distance from the station and Chinatown.
This one is hitting 100k easy! Good job as always broski! Beautiful Seattle under ❄️ amazing views! Your vlogs are top notch bro because it’s an actual Vlog and meaningful. Stay blessed brother! Coffee is life! Hahah
Thanks for the tour. The snow sure is beautiful this time of the morning. You kept driving south and I was thinking oh my goodness he’s going to go to Krispy Kreme for coffee.… i’m watching from Phoenix where we’re having a cold wave. It’s 48° and cloudy.
Your dedication for finding coffee is admirable!:) Did you take a right on Denny or Broad? Kind of a tiny hill. But I am impressed you really avoided quite a lot. Going home is a different matter, eh? I guess you can always return to Le Panier🌸 Stay safe out there! I saw a few wipeouts in the south end! Aka Burien.
I heard that Vancouver, Victoria, and Seattle got hit with the snow. The Arctic air from northern Canada came down a long ways. Thanks for sharing this video. It was awesome. Hope you have a Happy New Year. Cheers! ✌️
Watching from Australia. Merry Christmas. Back to kitchen for my second cup. I loved seeing how pretty it is in the snow. AHhhhhhhhhhh....Merry Festivus. We never have snow here so love the drive. I was like chuck a Uuueee or do a three point turn.....argggghhhhhhh! Thanks for sharing. I love my metal hand grinder and making coffee at home. Saves me so much and the smell is divine.
Your video came up on my feed and I loved it! I can’t believe you drove around for half an hour to find COFFEE in SEATTLE!! 😂🤣 I’m in Portland and coffee abounds but we’ve got very little snow. But I spent many wonderful years from 9 years of age, to 21 up in Seattle and it was a treat to watch your video. Thank you. Oh, for those who don’t want you to talk, they can hit the mute button. 👍
You were almost to Ballard after you passes the market...lol. could have got coffee right down the street but it was better to go to Starbucks because it was a longer ride in the snow...loved it !
Haha you ran the red light but nobody was around to see it. Maybe the traffic cameras were not working too. What car did you use to drive around in the snowy sloppy Seattle streets?
Just found you tonight. I live in Bellevue but transplanted from Queen Anne. Thanks for the ride along! The freshly fallen snow looks gorgeous. Hope you have an excellent New Year!!
Well, I for one, totally enjoyed your chatter during this video! I’ve never been to your state! I can’t imagine what driving in snow for the inexperienced is like ! I’m 74 and have mostly lived in New England. My dad taught me how to drive in the snow when I was 18! I love winter! Great video!
Great video! ( I watched the whole thing!)Our granddaughters got to make some little snow people in our backyard yesterday Christmas Day. ( Tacoma Washington here) I enjoyed this driving video! I’m that person that does everyone a favor and stays home when it snows or gets icy! No one needs a speed bump in their way! 🤣 your welcome! And thank you for sharing your snow drive in Seattle! One of our son in laws headed up to Seattle at 8:30am this morning to go to the sea hawks game today at 1:00 ( it’s 2:15pm now) have a great week! Santa was good to us all! Family was together. ❤️
Keep doing what you do. I have seen a lot of your videos and enjoy all of the content. I was in Seattle that day having arrived late Xmas day. I could not get out of the Warwick Hotel . No food delivery, no taxi, just frozen Seattle. Thanks for filming what I wanted to show my friends.
watching from Hot Springs, S.D.....I lived in Seattle 13 years and only snowed once. It was heavy snow. I lived on Capital Hill then. Loved your video. Good work.
As soon as you passed Le Panier, I knew you were in, coffee trouble! The only place open that early is Le Panier and the Starbucks on 1st. Coming from Buffalo, where coffee is available 24/7, I loose my mind in Seattle! Especially first couple of days when I'm awake 3 hrs before the rest of the city! Check your Patreon, this one could've been on me. Driving...not bad, not bad. lol Love the vids.
03:45 RU-vid floated your video across my screen, so I decided to watch. I'm enjoying the narration, and you certainly have the voice for it. Thank you, and I'm glad you're enjoying the snow. It's a fact of life for me, living in Ontario, Canada. ;) Snow tires go on in November without fail. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you and your family. Take care and stay safe.
