My brother passed away in 2014 at the age of 22. He was autistic and one of his quirks and obsessions was Tornadoes and we used to watch you channel together and now I watch it for him!
i like your brother and you. im also autistic and i also love tornadoes. unfortunately here in germany we cant witness real tornadoes. im planing to travel to the US and the go on the hunt. i wanna work with tornadoes if that makes sense xd and sry for your loss.
I get sad and cry rarley but this comment is just so depressing I wish you and your faimly a wonderful life and peace and hope and faith i feel so sorry for tour lost 😞 😔 😢 😭
I am so sorry. I have an autistic daughter & oddly enough she’s the one watching this with me!!!! I also lost my own brother when he was 25. I know how it feels. I am so sorry! 💔
Thunder used to scare me. It was so loud I thought it was doing damage. when I asked my parents, they informed me it was only noise. I instantly started to feel better. They proceeded to tell me an old but expanded upon fun Christian lie "When the clouds cover the whole sky, angels can walk on top of them and play games. Thunder is just Angel's Bowling!" i nearly lost my mind. If that was how loud bowling sounded for angels, they must be Huge! They were right above our heads, tossing what I imagined were mountain sized bowling balls. It got bad enough that I started to faint at really loud thunder. Then finally (it was only 2 years of my life) our local weatherman Bryan Busby came to our school and taught us about weather. Science finally cured my anxiety.
@@muddyraccoon I have had severe fear of thunderstorms even from when I was little, and I’m 19 now. My grandma told me the same thing, “angels are just bowling up in the clouds.” Didn’t help a bit 😂 but I love stormchasing videos for some reason?
Lol, I am terrified of tornadoes, but I love watching his videos. His photography and calm rational explanations of what Storm produce tornadoes and what to look for have truly helped me to start getting over my sheer terror of storms after being in THREE tornadoes, possibly four we are waiting on them to determine if what hit us yesterday was a small tornado, or straight line winds. We had hail for about 15 minutes starting at pea size and going up to quarter size. You could hear the roof popping and groaning and my ears were popping. It was raining so hard you couldn’t see our cars in the drive and the wind was blowing the rain totally horizontal. It was really weird. It’s the first storm I’ve been through when it was light outside, so I was just frozen looking and listening for it
Dude I just discovered your channel like a few weeks ago. Subbed within a couple seconds, binge watched all your videos, and have been waiting for your most recent upload. Keep doing what you do man
I'm honestly in the same boat. I found and subbed after watching your Canton Texas video from the end of April. You are what storm trackers should strive to be.
Hey, Hank! It's me, one of your subscribers that have been here since the beginning. You have inspired me to study meteorology when I'm older. I have always taken interest in your videos. One day whenever the DFW area was being pounded with severe storms I was really scared, and I went to your channel and watched some videos and they changed my life. Thank you, Hank. 'Til next time.
"Look at those inflow winds, it's taking us right into it!" And so we're going to keep driving smack-dab into the tornado... how do you not chicken out, Hank! Also this one iconic moment: "It's... a ghost... tornado..." *thunder crashes ominously iust like it does every freaking time in a horror movie*
You guys had a tornado out in that area, I remember. It hit some office buildings / wasn't huge if I remember correctly. 2000 Fort Worth tornado. - Wiki
Driving into a tornado with cinnamon toast crunch was incredibly stupid. Fruit loops are way better. Cinnamon toast crunch doesn't taste the same. Its just gross. What were you thinking?
I absolutely love your channel! Just discovered it recently and have been watching it on repeat. Your narration is great, you have the perfect voice for voiceover work. I also like the fact that you stay calm in the heat of the moment. You deserve way more subs than you have. Keep it up, man!
I am 35 years old and have spent most of my life really terrified of tornadoes after an EF2 tore thru the woods surrounding our home in delaware when i was 7. Even more so since I became a mother 6 years ago. But a few months ago I started trying to face my fear and learn more about this beautiful but deadly phenomenon. I keep being drawn back to your videos as I love your editing and commentary and you have a voice that is very easy to listen to. You are very very talented and obviously knowledgeable.. not to mention hella brave! Thank you so much for what you do in educating us about storms... I am happily a new subscriber and look forward to more videos, but also pray that you remain safe so you can live to enjoy cinnamon toast crunch another day😄 Are you on Twitter?
it was going YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET
ah crap it is. I didn't even see the potara earrings. If I could post a link here with out getting flagged for spam I would to show how crazy close the wallet image looks to this. But I know for certain my wallet is goku since he is wearing the Whis gi. Now that I am really looking the hair bangs things are different as well but the face is the exact same.
You'd like it more if he was driving to a tornado with a Number 9, a Number 9 large, a Number 6 with extra dip, two number 45s, one with cheese, and a large soda
you are amazing. no storm chaser saw that whole wedge tornado in elk city. You definitely got really close to it and got the best footage/experience as you could with that particular tornado.
Hey there. Just discovered your channel today and I can't get enough of your videos. They're very interesting and it's heart-warming how you care about the wildlife. Take care and stay save whatever you will do!
You flipped on that camera in the morning and the first thing in my head was "Good morning gorgeous~" I know it's weird, but you looked so fabulous for a man that'd just slept in his car. XD
It's my dream to get to meet you one day. You're one of the best chasers I've ever seen, and as someone who's dream is to improve tornado warning systems, you're my idol
@ 2:00 + while driving down that road there's no trees, grass, brush or debris that's being blown around so it looks like he's just driving under cloudy skies with no wind. But then he passes a stop sign. That stop sign is whipping back and forth so damn fast which shows how strong the wind is. It's so deceiving. Amazing how storms can appear fairly harmless despite it being brutal out
4:27 Recording things like this are what make your channel great. Most would completely overlook such a thing. Makes you wonder how many years it took for the wind, blowing that chain back and forth, to make those rust marks.
Dude i just fricken love the way you do your videos. You are so good at what you do and i mean both chasing and RU-vid. Always a joy watching your videos!
Your videos are incredible. I love anything weather related or storm chasing related but you really put a nice, personable touch into it and really make it worth watching. Great work!
Right now i say in german "Wunbderschönes Video." Which means beautifull Video. Siriously i am silghty addicted to your Videos and i love them so freking much! Like as always! ;)
Idk how but my nightly routine is not watching recommended videos and I can never get through without watching one of these 😂 i saw the title for this one and was like “must.. stay up”
Hank, you are like the polar opposite of guys like Reed Timmer, they're all loud and obnoxious most of the time, while you are chill, I cant think of one time ive heard you yell "BIG TORNADO ON THE GROUND!!!" a thousand times over, plus your vids are more like stories, you're great, thank you!
Pecos Hank, what do you think of me considering tornadoes happening in my area an annual thing? (Also, what do you think of may considering the frequency of tornado outbreaks on that month? I looked at a list of tornado outbreaks in North America (Wikipedia) and I counted 73 on may, more than all the others I counted by a significant number.)
I'll tell you what, Hank, the closest I came to getting killed in 30 years of chasing was the days before portable radar. I drove right into a rain wrapped tornado like that. When I could finally see a speck of the spout it was about to plow into a barn about 50 yards away and was headed my direction. All I could do was floor it and hope I was headed out of the path instead of into it. That day I was lucky.
