Exactly, you can't just assume anyone with in 5 meters of a crossing is going to cross. Law states only have to give way to pedestrians on the crossing I believe

I believe giving way to pedestrians at (but not yet on) a zebra crossing is one of the "should" instructions from the Highway Code, but only "must" instructions are legal requirements. Regardless though, it's a learner car. Dashcam vids of learner cars are always pretty unfair IMHO.

If you drive a lot in London you will end up stopping every minute because someone is near a crossing on the phone or waiting for a friend. My dad stops for most of them and it's really annoying because it's resulted in 2 rear end collisions in the last 5 years and multiple close calls a week. He does a emergency stop as soon as someone is 3 meters away from a crossing sometimes meaning his stopped waiting for a full minute or 2 where there is foot traffic.

If you see pedestrians waiting to cross the road at a zebra crossing, the drivers MUST give the pedestrians priority.

Also It WASN'T close at all and when he revved passed; 1. He wasn't paying attention to the crossing or anything ahead. 2. His bike wouldn't get the attention of a deer.

True, but traffic didn’t stop moving, although if it had he would have been at fault. The idiot skipping the queue to jump in at the last minute from the wrong lane is the main culprit here.

Despite the lack of gear I still felt sorry for him then having your unfortunate fall broadcasted all over the internet isn't good.

You just know that it was the fault of everyone and everything else except the cyclist! He'll blame his gear, the road, the weather... everything except himself!

Ha I did. His left hand seems to slip off the bar, or the handlebar/grip fails? As a commuter cyclist I try to go smooth and not all over the road but I'm still struggling to know how he actually lost his grip.

This is the UK. Different country, different rules. You get used to it when you drive on the opposite side.

Here in the UK it is against the highway code to park facing traffic. 239 Use off-street parking areas, or bays marked out with white lines on the road as parking places, wherever possible. If you have to stop on the roadside do not park facing against the traffic flow That doesn't make it illegal, however it is illegal to park facing oncoming traffic at night. 248 You MUST NOT park on a road at night facing against the direction of the traffic flow unless in a recognised parking space. Laws CUR reg 101 & RVLR reg 24 Very few people seem to know this however.

katari91 thanks for explaining this. I've been doing practice theory tests on the DVLA site and always got.this wrong as it doesn't explain properly the rules. Just tells you you're incorrect.

Overtaking is considered an offence on or over marked crossings. The camera driver did seem to stop way too early though.

I side with the trucker. Who knows why he needed to park on the 'wrong' side of the road? but he had started the manouvre long before the cammer came around the bend.

manoeuvre* The trailer angle looks like the driver was on the correct side, but parked on the opposing side.
