Driving from a hotel near Forum Madeira in Sao Martinho on some smaller roads and on the roads VR-1 and ER-103 to the starting point of hike PR.11 Levada dos Balcões.
tip: don't follow GPS car directions at Madeira. They usually make you do some crazy course and not the easier and best one. It would be much better if you went forward at 12:57.
Yeah, i agree the GPS isnt always reliable on Madeira, but sometimes it gets me on an interesting and exiting road i wouldn't get to experience by taking the safe route 😉
