19:40 Nope, that is a very old rad causing the issue... My friend, if you are having mechanical issues, just get in touch with me! I used to build Land Rovers from a bare chassis... I know my stuff, and some of the issues you have had I could have helped you with. Information shared is the best way, always. Pat yourself on the back though, to think this was in a hedge a couple of months ago is pretty amazing.
Love this Josh, slogged to get the car finished and looking absolutely perfect. Respect to your perseverance and your keeneye for a brilliant wheel/height setup. 👏🏽👏🏽
Well done Josh, so glad you made it! I have a 1989 535i which used to overheat slightly in traffic on a hot day and it was caused by a very thin hose by the radiator being almost fully blocked with gunge. I don't know whether your car has the same setup but worth checking.
Use Evans high performance waterless coolant . Its got a high boiling point of 375f well above 212f that water Has . Less chance of over heating less chance blowing head gasket again 👍
I'd treat the old beast to a new radiator when you get home. Also wants a proper good cooling system flush, heater core included, now it's been running for a couple of weeks. Great job mate, you should be proud of yourself 🤙
Brilliant video Josh! To think this BMW was buried to never see the road again and then you come along and get it to this level within a short space of time is fantastic! So love the old school BMW, both looks os good together! 👍

Well done guys loved video, try putting on kenlow adjustable fan they are good and insurance that the normal overheating they do is kept undercontrol Keep up the good work 👏
Fair play mate, done a few of these myself, literally drag a car out of a hedge, put a whole load of work in, not without dramas and give a old car a new lease of life also makes it all the sweeter when you can do as you have make it look mint and enjoy a wonderful trip with your mates, wheels are perfect by the way, keep up the good work hope the rest of your trip is epic you deserve after all the hard work..! 👍🏻
Nice one Josh, bet you felt that Germany mission, like I said. Never ending. Assuming it's the original rad(?) did you take it off and flush it out, including reverse flush? Bet its full of old gunge from years of sitting.
Hi Josh, would you care to look at an e28 3 liter in Poland? I am very interested in this car but from Holland it is still a bit too far. If the car is a gem maybe you would drive it to Holland? 😊
Awesome Car Josh, glad it's gone well ..... in my experience mate there's some deep seated gunk in that coolant system mate . I've had numerous issues just like what you're getting I recommend literally stuffing a hose into a water channel in the engine and disconnect the rad beforehand and let it run for a good half hour or so ..... I'm not tryna teach you to suck eggs either dude , just my 10p worth 😊
