I love this video. I remember when I walked from Ponce Deanlo inlet to the ampitheatre. I also remember when the Hilton was predominantly blue, and Drew it. But my favourite was king Arthur's round table/ peck plaza. Daytona is the best!

Chris, F.Y.I.: Regarding other beaches that people can drive on...Sherkston Beach, Sherkston, Ontario, Canada. I reside in Buffalo, N.Y., and I use to frequent that beach often years ago. Beautiful natural sand beach which extends approx. twenty miles. Hope this information is informative for you. Thanks for the great video, Chris. I've visited DB several times over the years, the last time being in 2012. Always loved how very wide the beach was. And I do mean WAS. It is much narrower than when you posted this in 2013. There is a free live webcam from Volusia County that has the very same view as at 3:00 on your video. The difference, even at low tide, is quite startling. Perhaps the hurricanes caused a shift in the sands but it gives one pause to wonder if there really IS something to climate change and rising sea levels. Thanks again for your great vid.

I apologize for missing your comment, I just googled Sauble Beach and found even pictures with this very attractive Ontario resort, Welcome to Sauble Beach, 108 Main St, South Bruce Peninsula, Ontario, Canada, that main street looks pretty much like Duval St in Key West, obviously AND especially unfortunately something very dear to me is missing out there: PALM Trees, obviously. Very crowded as well, at least in that Google Maps 2009 Image. Be safe and enjoy the summer. Chris

There is another place I know of where you can "drive" your vehicle on a public beach (mind you, it's more of a parking lot then a roadway). Sauble Beach, Ontario, about 2 hours northwest of Toronto.

I don't think they let us do this on our beach. This is beautiful. I'm going to have to make this trip one day and rent a scooter or motorcycle.

I have always loved Daytona. Been going since the 90's. My last visit was 2021.. it has changed for the worst . Just a unsafe place now..

Absolutely BUT: - not all beaches offer this kind of "exotic" adventure, actually next to impossible to find any organized traffic beach out of hundreds or maybe thousands of sand beaches around. - best is after some rainy day when sand is not too puffy - if you want some speed on sand, after 6pm - very easy to get stuck in sand if you don't know what you doing out there, very expensive to get towed outta sand, plus pretty embarrassing, right? LOL Play safe AND smart = FUN. Be safe. Chris

Full of time lapse driving videos out there, personally I hate them and therefore totally ignore them, real life is not a time lapse event, right? Very easy to do time lapse videos, way easier than real time videos, in case you did not know that, that's why most of ppl go for time lapse vids.
