Daytona Beach is a city in Volusia County, Florida, United States. It lies about 51 miles (82.1 km) northeast of Orlando, 86 miles (138.4 km) southeast of Jacksonville, and 242 miles (389.5 km) northwest of Miami. In the 2010 U.S. Census, it had a population of 61,005. It is a principal city of the Deltona-Daytona Beach-Ormond Beach, FL metropolitan statistical area, which was home to 590,289 people in 2010. Daytona Beach is also a principal city of the Fun Coast region of Florida.
The city is historically known for its beach where the hard-packed sand allows motorized vehicles to drive on the beach in restricted areas. This hard-packed sand made Daytona Beach a mecca for motorsports, and the old Daytona Beach Road Course hosted races for over 50 years. This was replaced in 1959 by Daytona International Speedway. The city is also the headquarters for NASCAR.
Daytona Beach hosts large groups of out-of-towners that descend upon the city for various events, notably Speedweeks in early February when over 200,000 NASCAR fans come to attend the season-opening Daytona 500. Other events include the NASCAR Coke Zero 400 race in July, Bike Week in early March, Biketoberfest in late October, and the 24 Hours of Daytona endurance race in January.

You need to come to the hood of Baltimore city. I was in Daytona Beach this year for bike week and Daytona is a great place. This looks like paradise compared to Baltimore city.

Great advice from Praveen Sriram in the mean streets of Cleveland, "Avoid eye contact at all times with the angry thugs & gangstas. It might just save your life. That was Hoodish, but not really hood...shouldve cruised through the neighborhood between Mason ave and Mary Bethune, east and west of Ridgewood, Keech st by the housing projects...lol....you played it safe. that was actually a pretty tame area where you were

He ain't even drive through the real streets here. He was basically in a whole separate city thru the whole video that's not even Daytona. Beachside is nice & so are the surrounding cities, but the mainland DB can be comparable to some parts Oakland, guaranteed. The whole mainland of Daytona is probably the same size of some Oakland neighborhoods lol. Small town.

If it's not a Popeye's or church's chicken them I'm not scared. In my city there's a place in the hood called "ya boys chicken and ribs". I wouldn't eat there. It's probably a front for something else. I doubt anyone eats there.

Definitely lower income housing area's but you could basically walked through those areas all night and the only interest you'd receive is from DPD questioning what are you doing out this late.

Omg!! Your videos are wonderful showing lots and lots of different places but unless you are familiar with the city that your speak of... maybe you should probably leave out adjectives like ghetto! First of all you drive up International Speedway Boulevard going east and then you take a right on us1 going south into Daytona... then you drive completely through another whole city... South Daytona NOT to be mistaken as Daytona (two different places!) and THEN... you stay on the mainland never crossing over the bridge over to the place where is beautiful beautiful beautiful and it is Daytona as well so you only showed ONE section of Daytona by not crossing over one of the bridges to DAYTONA BEACHSIDE!! Like all cities there are bad areas and that's the area much of that you drove through not even highlighting the beauty that is here all over the place! Anybody can find the bad area of a city and show it and give it a negative name... all you have to do is go to my Facebook page to see billions of pictures over my 40 years here that are breathtaking and in fact Facebook has a Daytona Beach page where many many people who love this place put pictures galore of its BEAUTY!! ... and furthermore... what you didn't know... was that The Whole Daytona Area had JUST a few months prior to your "drive through"... we had JUST encountered Hurricane Matthew October 2016 and THAT is why all those signs are blown out ...so you were looking at the aftermath of a hurricane... So... respectively I suggest that perhaps just MAYBE... you should know what you're talking about before you label a WHOLE city like that! THAT'S just very disrespectful! Millions of people come here every year every year this whole place is funded by tourists for the most part that's who we serve and love and people flock here all the time! Luckily your opinion won't change that. Just something to think about...

I'm thinking about moving to Florida by next year, I cannot stand places where it's too hot so South Florida is out of the question (Miami, Tampa, Orlando, etc). I'm thinking either Jacksonville or Daytona Beach. Which is the best for employment opportunities and single men? I live in San Diego btw. Can you guys give me a vibe of both cities and what both cities are like?

Trust he drove through the smallest part of Daytona he's not even on Daytona for most the video. People that really stay here knows where it's really at... & where he drove ain't it.
