Jess and Ryan test the newest 3-row luxury crossover, the Infiniti JX35, during a stopover in Charleston, South Carolina. Can the latest from Infiniti compete against the segment-dominating Acura MDX and Audi Q7?
Entertaining review. I watch tons of auto reviews and this gal is a breath of fresh air. Do I think she knows as much about cars as some other reviewers? No. But that doesn't matter. She's personality plus. I loved it when she was underwhelmed with the acceleration in sport mode, LOL.
You can go to a dozen or more different places and watch them do 0-60 tests and slides around a racetrack. I like her reviews because it's something different. It's more like what a regular person would see when test driving a car. Those other reviewers are jaded and stuck on numbers. They don't notice things like are the seats comfortable, is it a gianormous monstrosity to drive around town, is the automatic stop thing kinda cool, etc. It's not for everyone, but I like it as a change of pace.
My new JX35 has also failed with the BCI (Backup Collision Intervention) feature several times now (and yes, it is always turned on). When I back up to make a three-point turn to get in and out of my garage, there are a set of trees that I have to back up to. I would say 8 times out of 10, it will stop by itself. 2 times out of 10, it will beep and let me know it's about to hit, but the brakes DO NOT apply. This is worrisome--not sure what to do about it.
smitty195 i have a new 2015 qx60 that doesnt have all of that features, why? Because i prefer relying on human's judgement than a computer's. i have been driving for 14 years and never hit anything, yet..! I always opt-out on sensory options when buying a vehicle.
I watch a lot of car reviews on RU-vid. In my opinion, other than the testing of the safety features this video is a waste of time. The "reviewer" Jessica clearly has no useful knowledge about this vehicle or driving skill as she has no technique. She has no screen presence and to say that she is an "actress" her diction is poor. This comment is not meant to bash her as a person but to say that the reviewing company should consider these things before having her back to "review" another car.
Nice enough video but I cannot believe Infiniti barfed this thing into existence. It is fricken hideous looking. And I've owned a G and an M. WTH were the designers thinking?
