Mock driving test is the next best thing to an actual driving test. The driving test mock will show up any weaknesses in your driving ability. So if you can have a mock driving test with a driving instructor then go for it.
This is Yasmine's first mock driving test. Her actual driving test is about a month away with her own driving instructor in their driving instructor car.
Overall she had good control of the vehicle but sometimes let the car stall when moving off by not putting enough gas on.
Yasmine made 9 driving faults on her driving test and one serious fault on the driving test. At the end of the mock driving test we both had a chat about her driving test mistakes and Yasmine is going to work on the driving test mistakes with her own driving instructor.

Had my mock test the day before the test and failed and my instructor told me I wasn’t ready and would probably fail. Used it as motivation and stacked up on driving videos and used google maps to study tricky roundabouts in the area (good tip). Passed the test on my first time

Unrelated to this video but just wanted to say thank you for all your videos! They're incredibly helpful, especially as you talk about gears and what you're doing with them as you're slowing down/speeding up. Passed my test a month or so ago and your videos have been so helpful. Had to do some motorway driving and watched your videos on them beforehand and they helped a lot to ease nerves. Hi Travis, I’ve just started watching your videos, through a recommendation from another instructor Francis. You remind me of my driving instructor, you have a calming relaxing aroma about you, I’m sure all your pupils or most of them feel relaxed with you even if they are nervous drivers I’m sure by the way that you are, that soon changes, I think you give really good advice and I’m very thankful that I’m now watching your videos. My test is the 4th July, I’m doing a mock this Saturday. All I can do is keep trying my best. I liked the video you did about speed, very interesting. Looking at her steering technique from an ergonomical perspective when she needs to turn fairly sharply right or left she never repositions the same hand to twelve o'clock ready to turn in. This seems to leave a need lots of smaller rapid hand movements to rotate the steering wheel when a lot of lock is needed.

I failed all 3 of my mocks with at least 4 serious faults and passed first time with 1 minor. Don’t worry too much if you fail a mock or two - doesn’t always mean you’ll fail the real thing.

At 18:06 was she ok to use the left Lane in the second mini roundabout to go straight on , if so it confused me a bit as to why she didn’t, probably just nerves but I was just curious as to why she didn’t.

Unfortunately the left lane on the second roundabout went left only. The right lane went a head only.

I think the traffic authorities have dedicated the right hand lane (at the second roundabout) for straight ahead traffic to slow it down significantly. When you think about it if it were permissible to use left lane to go straight ahead some drivers would straight line the roundabout at a very high speed from the left lane knowing traffic emerging from the left exit should give way to them and they have a very long time to observe oncoming traffic which comes from their right. Some drivers would not slow down at all.

When slowing the car for a roundabout or a give way junction; say the car was in 4th gear and the student uses the brake to slow the car down to a speed where the appropriate gear is 2nd. Is it acceptable to change the gear directly from 4th to 2nd? Would this be considered an error?

I think of as that I need to give way at mini-roundabouts to vehicles coming from the right and crossing in front of me. Conversely from the other guy's perspective the same is not happening.

I went driving test first time I fail. Becouse I was giving way in junction it was ny any car I have Checked very well as soon as I join the main road 30mile per H. Some some came very fast in blind spot bend. And made fail. So every ones be carry full some ppl come fast to make you fail

Shame she got the series for that mistake, lots of drivers would of gone then and not thought anything of it, I dont think that was dangerous but then of course how we have to drive in a test and how the drivers who have past drive is a completely different story

I find it odd how people pay hundreds of pounds for multiple lessons and tests especially if they have failed before but cant drive cause they haven't passed the "test" , but anyone can drive on provisional even if they haven't drove in their lifes before

There are choices of which route you take to pass the driving test in the UK. Most safest way is to learn with an instructor.

The thing is about safety of other road users. Yes, people can drive on provisional license with a full licence holder sitting next . But how safe are you depends on your skill. I have spent 3 grand in 86 hours of profession lesson where I could easily escape this route driving with my brother who has full licence . Those 86 hours are professional driving lesson comes from a driving instructor which is much more valuable compare to a full licence holder who is your friend or family. Driving instructor charge you to find your mistake and make you a better driver . Last week I passed my test with zero minor even the examiner was quite pleased and said she was about to sleep as she felt safe and pleasant. It was such a smooth ride . All thanks to my instructor.
