Nice review. The only thing is the whole point of the Bentley is luxury. The GT weighs about a ton more than the heaviest Audi you mention and that not only gives a luxurious, limousine-like ride way better than an Audi, it also means much more protection in the case of an accident. The only reason to go for an Audi would be better performance and fuel economy.
Ride height adjustment isn't for picnics in the country, it's for getting across deep dip suburban gutters and/or car park entires that will scrap the front and rear lower nose panels. An inch is of course nothing.
V8 didn't replace the W12... Both engines are in the line up. The V8 is cheaper, less powerful, but lighter and makes the frond end lighter so it steers better. Next gen Continental GT will also get the new W12 VW is currently developing.
Interesting why do you prefer the coupe I find convertible are usually better look than coupe … but I understand the coupe of this version looks also beautiful .
So, VAG corporate Audi V8 4.0 TFSI with fancier turbochargers. ZF8, which is all over the place now. Is the AWD system straight out of the A8, too? It's not special enough.
The trade off is increased reliability. The "special enough" cars of 20-30 years ago couldn't get out of their own way. Today the pricier cars are generally as reliable as the economy cars.
"The ride height is controlled by airbags"? He talks as though he doesn't know much about cars, and talking down to his audience is just plain obnoxious.
