The option for the Aluminator Engine (the 675HP option) is an ADDITIONAL $8,250.... That would make the total MSRP on this car $70,810! It's a lot of extra horsepower, but it is also a lot of extra money.

The power is not going down. They just have different levels of power on the Stage 3. The version that has 675 is a Roush Stage 3 with the optional Aluminator Engine and the optional Phase 3 Supercharger...But those are two expensive options

Having just traded my 2011 GT for a 2013 GT, I have to agree. I really liked the hood on the 11, but really like the rear end on the 13. Not only the tail lights, but the bumper is better (same color as car versus the big plastic looking piece the 11-12 have)

Its growing on me, but I really like the hood on the 11-12. I had a unique stripe setup on the prior 11 that can't be recreated on a 13-14 hood. The rear end though is soooo much better on the 13, everything from the lights, to the GT emblem, to the lack of the huge plastic valance

This car is one of the most beautiful automobiles I have ever seen. It is "truly totally awesome". Not a real fan of putting a functional gauge over a heat vent however. Couldn't they have come up with perhaps a better idea than that??? Once again, I do love the car. Being a little bit of an older fellow I would opt for the automatic version.

yes you are right there.. and depending on driver.. the 420hp Mustang is abit quicker still then the 440hp Camaro. However the Camaro has a little better handling characteristics then the Mustang. I have a 2013 Mustang GT with upgraded track suspension.. handles real great. although Ford needs a little help in the handling department... they are going to a slpit axel for their future mustangs.

wow... they want 70+ grand for these in CA. I did notice the aftermarket parts on the window sticker average 40-50% higher than what you can buy them for. Maybe that's labor.

I think someone mentioned that it was about $71K MSRP for the 675 hp version. Add taxes and any markups and you are probably close to $80K. If it were me doing it all over again I would still have gotten my Shelby and used the extra $15K for performance parts..probably an easy 1000hp with additional handing mods for the road course guy/gal.

You can have your Mustang Tuned by Roush. But the easiest way to buy a Roush is to buy the car from an Authorized Roush Performance Dealer.

it's because of the wide tolerances between the side edges of the hood to the fenders. the gap is so wide everything flows in while driving in rainy weather, hits the strut towers and then splatters all over the place. i know this because i have one (not a roush) and it's tiring to have to keep cleaning all the time =(

Base GT 500 Msrp is around $55. No track package or SVT package. Plus market adjustments bullshit. You are looking closer to $60. You at those two plus recarro seats you are looking at 72 or more.

As far as I can see this one still has a live rear axle. I heard that for the previous Roush offered independent rear suspension. Is it an option for this on too?

98% of folks who buy this car will not get it to a circuit much less get to 80% of its potential. Most racing is done street light to street light. While I think that the car is beautiful, these cars are for a specific crowd like the Corvette. Where Ford went right was the GT500. Thus far winning the pony car war and this coming from a Corvette owner.

The Shelby name will go away with the new Mustangs coming out for 2015.. they will be called the Cobra again. However in keeping with tradition of the mustang Im sure you will see special editions still like the BOSS 302, Bullit (possibly) and more Shelby's as Special editions. I am sure Roush and Saleen will also play a major role in the future of the Mustang as well. But the new Supercharged Mustangs.. will be the Cobra.. at least thats what I heard.

Technically, all RS3's are just Mustang GT's. Roush buys a predetermined number of base model GT's from Ford directly and converts them to RS3's. If you look up the VIN, it would come back as a Mustang GT, not a Roush. Same thing if you buy a Mustang and take it to Roush so they can convert it. Same goes for Saleen, Shelby American, and Steeda.

Car is black, so blacking out isn't necessary :) I have left over stripes from my 2011, and I'm thinking they'll get put on down the road. But first I'm starting with axle back, shift bracket and knob

If you buy base GT or premium you spend 30-43000 with options then start modifying. It's adds up. And hope what you do doesn't void warranty. Either you wait till warranty over take chance. You can spend $15000 to $20000 on upgrades you get on roush. At you get warranty. My first GT after warranty over I easily spend $15000 on mods and if cause I bought first Roush I would have kept going. This roush I bought now base car was $43000 then $17000. In roush upgrades. It handles better my shelby08 s

somebody looking for a lighter/better handling car and or trying to have something different, I also had the question of who will pay 75k for a Shelby but then again there are people out there that are paying that much for a shelby (20-30% over sticker). it dont matter how much power you got if you cant put it to the ground. you have to drive them and compare them

Demolish? Not so sure about that. Shelby is easily capable of road courses, slight suspension mods and it will demolish a Roush. Not to mention that the Shelby comes as a Shelby, Roush's aren't recognized through VINs. They're GT's with a body kit and SC.
