That Ram is going to be one nice rig once you get it sorted - can't wait to see what wheels you ordered. Ignore the negative comments - some people just have to complain about everything without doing anything constructive themselves.
If that's a Ram SST, the factory wheels for those trucks are pretty awesome. They were an aluminum 5-star wheel that looked awfully aftermarket from the factory. These trucks were awesome. My stepdad had a black one. I can't wait to see how it turns out.
The body of the Ram is in pretty good condition. I think it is going to look really good after getting the paint job. I look forward to the next one Randy.
Liked, Glad ya made it home, it really sucks getting stranded road side, I walked 7miles home cause map sensor went bad on my LeSabre, thought it was fuel pump, what a costly lesson to learn
@@mbrowning7712 Actually, I haven’t served yet. I’m 17, and I plan on enlisting in the Air Force as soon as I get out of high school. My father has served though, United States Army!
Randy, sorry about to hear about the flat tire. I can't wait to see what is going to happen on the channel. I can't get enough. Keep up the good work , thanks.
I’m liking the Ram especially it’s story! It reminds me of my recently bought ‘99 XJ Cherokee that sat for 7 years at copart. Secondary damage mechanical, no start, and no mileage but it was a donation. I had remembered your advice on donations and took the gamble- and it paid off! Love the content keep it up
Wow, im 18 and have done 4 headliner restores that surprises me that he has to get it done by someone else rather than teaching himself for his own projects.
Get a new air filter for it at the auto parts store paper one instead. ditch the K&N that’s on there.... those can throw check engine lights... spray and clean the throttle body side of the air box to get the oil and crud left behind.....hose the throttle body with carb cleaner to clean the junk out......that what I would recommend she will run a lot better
At least you got home safely and didn't have a accident I was in this situation a couple years ago with my dad had a flat tire stuck on the road all day and part of the evening got home between 9 and 930 it sucked not fun
If you cycle the the switch on and off 3 times on the 3rd time leave it on the on position it will show you the codes on the odometer display. You can google the codes to see what issues you have.
I had to buy 4 new tires myself last year for my own car, every tire shop only had Pirellis in stock and they wanted $700 for the tires alone, 16" 215-65 it was crazy, found another tire shop unlicenced $250 for 4 tires same size
Now, Randy, really? Why didn't you change the oil, add some break fluid and buy a spare wheel and tire to throw in the bed, in case of a flat. I know you love the "thrill" of the unknown. But she was sitting for six years. Anyway, loved the video and know she will be a beautiful truck when you are finished. Peace! Stay safe!
.....or, he could have probably used the jeep, bring tools from AAR headquarters, then returm home and work on the jeep. Yeah, I know he likes the thrill of the unknown, but if you're aware that your vehicle has faulty brakes and rotting tyres, why would you drive it? On the interstate too? That's just an accident waiting to happen.......
Randy do you have a U-Pull-It auto place around near you? If you did you could possibly find a good tire on a rim that you could use as a spare. For cheap. Then you wouldn't have to wait for the $1,100 set of tires and rims to keep going on this truck.
Love how you include the audience in your videos randy, love the content and if I was on the correct side of the Atlantic I would buy you a beer. Great channel, my favourite anyway!
Belt chirping is common with the Magnum engines. The primary cause is a slightly misaligned pulley. When you replace the idler and tensioner pulleys, buy a Continental 4070972 belt (aka Gatorback belt). Whoever wins this 2nd gen, I implore you to please ditch that cheap dash cover for a factory replacement from Mopar or LMC! If that cover is glued on it WILL destroy the lower dash assembly. The expansion & contraction from temperature extremes will cause dash frame behind the bezel to crack and fall out. I learned the hard way. Trust me, when lower dashes are fetching $500-$1000 on eBay or Marketplace... You DO NOT want to be unnecessarily replacing it!
Great content I love the copart walk around I'm always interested to see what happens to the wrecked cars before I found ur channel I use to flip thru copart and look at cars but I no longer have to now
My love for cars started kicking in when you were trying to do a burnout I was like poor thing is just trying to get from point A to point B and we're trying to do burnouts!??haha Love the Ram videos keep em coming best of luck!
you should put a 3rd gen center console in her! it has that big lid but it has the cup holders in the front so it's a lot more convenient ive seen that it's a pretty common thing to add to the old second gens... and it goes right in as far as i know. love the content randy!
Wow crazy I came across this video I just spent the last two weeks working on my wife's 2000 dodge ram her daddy gave it to her an he passed away last year and I I been wanting to work on it for but just put it on the back burner. Well we had a massive tornado in my town in east Texas an I was helping this man clean up his yard and went around back and a dodge just like hers sit there with the cab caved in so I helped the man out scored the truck put the motor an transmissions in all by myself new Muffler and brought her truck back from the dead
Indy and sst rims look the best on these! I have a Indy ram never thought of putting different rims on it.there 17s by 9s if your keeping it that's what I would run.
Randy you should make the Ram into a SS/T clone with the silver racing stripes. That would look really nice and would be a great eye catcher. Love the truck so far though.
You can get 15 inch tires at Peoria Plaza Tire for around 65.00 per tire. We can get 15 inch tires here in Peoria IL all day long used for 25.00 and new 55.00 to 65.00
Randy, just one quick question...do you ever put a spending limit on theses builds? If not I think you should. Also I remember you saying that due to previous legal issues you cannot sale these cars to public buyers, but what about raffling the cars off? Can you do that?
Change the idle air control valve on the throttle body. They get gummed up. An you have to measure it. It can't be over an 1inch 1/4 I believe. You twist it to adjust
Nothing like putting your life and everyone around you at risk. Driving on the Highway with no brakes and tires coming apart. Real smart move there Randy. I know you got better since then that. Where was your White truck for pulling the trailer? Don't say your girl had it as she should have driving one of the other cars you own. Also just a quick question. You say your engaged but yet you have a wedding band on ?.... lol...All in fun and I really do enjoy your channel.
Your bound to have a Perez or Pepe's used tire shop in your neck of the woods, we've got thousands of them down here in Texas, and I never leave home in my Hooptie without my toolbox and cheap floor jack in the trunk. And remember Boys and Girls get off the Fwy/Hwy to a safe place to change a flat, your life is worth more than a cheap rim!!!
Randy you smoking again? Not trying to tell you how to live but I would like to see your videos when you’re old man! 👌🏻 hoping all is well, loving the content
I would get a tire and steel rim from LKQ until your other tires come in. You might want to get a Bluetooth OBD scanner and use Torque on your phone when you don't have your fancy scanner. Hopefully you can fix all the wiring that the mice got into.
Randy my wife keeps asking me about the ghost & if you done the video on the person who was going come get things settled with it ? The truck looks nice & with what your doing will probably double the value ! Also i got the tire you need out in my garage but about 2000 miles to far away lol !
if you look on amazon for a "30 pin bluetooth adapter" you'll find little boxes that plug into the port on that speaker and then you can pair you iPhone to it and BOOM you got a bluetooth speaker
