Yep I wonder what the insurance rate is, especially considering how no one wants to get hit by it, but the parts for it are extremely rare (in comparison)? 😅
Best interior view I’ve gotten to see, you’d think it would be easy to find but I’ve watched inumerable videos of people walking around the outside and I’m like please climb inside cmon! So thank you.
@@bgraebe now understand because I saw that you were changing the gears effortlessly and I had the impression that you were not double de-cluching or at least I had the impression! Really great vehicle, congratulations!
Engine oil pressure, coolant temperature, and the double needle is the pressure in the air brake system. One needle reads system pressure and the other reads how much air pressure is being used when depressing the brake pedal.
We got this as just a chassis from Europe. It came to the US and was fully restored and needed new armor fabricated. The armor was replicated based off of measurements from original armor. Since the frame was damaged and modified both front and rear we couldn't find its original chassis number. We don't know its service history.
I have alwas been curious of these halftracks running hot, du to the radiator covered by a permanent armoured plate ? Unlike the American version that had louvered armour that could be opened......seems to me like a flawed design....also would like to know is this a true 251 or the post war Chech version ?
it has a very thick 4 row radiator and dual fan system pulling air in from under the front nose and hot air out over the engine and out the sides just behind the fenders. It is a genuine 251, and has all the correct original running gear and drivetrain and the Maybach Hl 42 engine
Less resistance on the starter motor since you're not turning over the drive train in addition to the engine, also for safety. If it happened to be in gear, although I make sure it's in neutral, then it won't lurch forward
Yes you do. The vehicle is old and the transmission doesn't have synchro mesh gears, they are straight cut. So to get a nice shift between gear changes you need to double clutch
@@bgraebe Danke. Das Fragezeichen bezieht sich auf die Stellung desselben. Raus gezogen hat er den Knopf, aber muss der nicht wieder rein wenn die Karre rund läuft?
