Driving the TOMEI R34 around Cape Town!

It's not often that I leave a shoot inspired. That was the case when we drove the ONLY Tomei Genesis R34 GTR in South Africa.
It has a laundry list of parts I got to drive it through my home town and spend some quality time with this JDM icon.
Is it as special as it looks?

I'm 16 years old and that last quote by MR "O" left me in tears, the R32 GT-R is my absolute dream and the owner of this R34 makes me want to keep pushing to get my dream car although they are around R800k now

I sat in my friend's 900HP R35 and it is a different kind of speed hey, sounds INSANE and feels so incredible, to be honest, there is nothing like a GTR, regardless of the generation, i certainly prefer the analog.

Nice one. Here in my neighborhood , here's an oak. That have a few off these R34 Skyline's 4 door, 1 ,R33 4door. And 2 Mk4 Supra's. But it seems like he doesn't drive it, on public roads. (no registration)

This is fucking awesome!!!!! Looks and sounds farking amazing!!!! I own a midnight purple R33 vspec which sounds very similar to this and the attention the thing gets is unbelievable! my childhood dream car as well, so this feature is very close to home for me. Shout out to you for bringing it and to the owner for getting this car.

Great vid man, dont mind the haters and know it all's.. The Tomei/Genesis engine is a drop in aftermarket/built longblock, so whatever model of R34 this is the block was replaced at some point, Its a clean R34 with a built and very expensive aftermarket block, Nismo dials with all the other goodies it seems to have which makes it one special car, lucky owner.

How many were made and shipped to SA because i only got to see one at Hatfield Nissan dealership once through the window. Without any doubt i think Supra MK4 and R33/R34 are the most iconic and scarce car in South Africa
