Fabulous film. Wish I had been "an Engine Driver" ! Alas only model engines now a days - but they're getting more like the real thing with sound and simulated braking etc. Great fun.
Hi.-does sound a bit strange...but they used to use them to warn drivers of an obstruction on the track...clipped over the track and was fired by the approaching train ....cheers P
LOL check the hand brake is on, bit late if it was off, those old diesel engines they used to leave running in cold weather because they were bad starters.
This Engine is a Diesel Mechanical with a 4 Speed Transmission so they just left them in Neutral also Keeping them on all the time puts unnecessary ware and tear on the engines and not to mention fuel Economy from doing that
