A lovely place and it was a beautiful weather day. Love the colorful trees on the side. Enjoyed sightseeing with you. Thanks for sharing. All the best. Cheers.
I lived in Kitchener and raised my kids there from 1965 to 1990 and have many wonderful memories of my life there. That was back when KW still had trolley buses running up and down King St. from Fairway all the way up to the top of Waterloo. King St. was bustling with people shopping in all the great stores lining the street. I have to say I was a little sad to see so many empty lots and boarded up shops all along what used to be a thriving urban centre. Unfortunately, that's not confined to the twin cites. Every town and city has suffered a series of blows that will be difficult to overcome. Thanks so much for the tour.
Thank you for the great comments. I was also born and raised in Kitchener. There have been many changes and challenges for Kitchener. I hope to do a part two :)
I love Kitchener, Lived there 25 years. Sadly never could afford a home on one income. Moved to Windsor last year and have my own home and a good job and am enjoying new experiences in this beautiful part of Ontario. The best bike trails in Kitchener I've enjoyed by far. Lots of new biking trails to explore down here. Changed a lot in a year in Kitchener with all the new high rises. I'll always have great memories of Kitchener.
Wow this is a really beautiful n peaceful town, I'm applying to Conestoga College and know next to nothing about the place, this is great to see thank you.
It's not the same place at all. It's a completely different place and completely different people that are not from KW that live here now. Basically the GTA has destroyed KW like they destroy any city they to move to.
