You need to get a live goat cam and then you/we can see the goats when your away from the farm. You goats and the whole family dynamics are what I am loving. Crystal and Derrick have a playful relationship even after 23 yrs together. In stressful moments during births it seems he calms you and we don't see anyone snapping at each other. I love how the goats are Crystal' s passion but Derrick is so supportive. You are all just a breath of fresh air when it comes to families working one toward one goal. Thank you is all I can say. 💙
Ooh! You passed through my stomping grounds. I live 20 miles north on the river in Alton. If you visit the city you'd want to go up to the top of the arch. See the new aquarium, the zoo, and catch a Cardinals or Blues game. Glad you came through town when the traffic wasn't too bad.
Stay safe and enjoy your time together.i am looking forward to you guys to get home and get some video of dinky and all your beautiful family and animals
Love your journey across the states but miss the rest of the family and the goats. I hope the camera is rolling when you kids see you get home and when the goats are reunited with you guys. 😊
My grandfather lives in MO. He has a farm in south central MO and in the North and both places are great, in my opinion. The last time I was up there it seemed like they were getting plenty of rain in the North.
I love how Derek Baah like a sheep when he says good - bye So glad you got to visit family and get feel for the lay of the land. God bless . Be safe. Enjoy your much needed vacation.🇺🇸♥️🌹
Beautiful downtown area would be nice if you could have spent some time downtown exploring the area. Thanks for sharing your journey with us Love you guys❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Finally roads I can recognize!! Grew up in St. Louis and live about an hour away now. Edit: loved the reference to "Men who built America". Have that whole series on DVD
Just a heads up here. The pass between Alamogordo and Las Cruces New Mexico in under construction do to a mud slide. Loves and Hugs from the Grand Lady in New Mexico USA. May God Bless you all and your family
Been to St. Louis many times and lived in St. Charles for awhile. Now I’m back in my home town right down the interstate in St. James where the famous wineries are. You drove right by my house which is literally right off interstate.
Cool road trip. I haven't been to St. Louis in years and it still looks the same to me. Thanks for sharing your trip. Also driving along side big trucks kinda freaks me out lol
I run an Airbnb in Louisiana, but it’s one that I rent furnished rooms for long term travelers. I also live there. It’s more like a boarding house, built in 1880. It’s great fun meeting so many people from all different ways of life.
Well, as someone who has spent many summers in Arkansas and some winters I can say it's not so awful. The humidity is not as bad as Texas or New Orleans and the greenery is just so soothing. In the fall going up Scenic 7 is utterly breathtaking! It seems the water and humidity is so good for your skin and even your hair too! A drier climate is supposed to be better for lung conditions like asthma and even arthritis. I have lived in California, Arizona, Louisiana, Florida and Texas but only visited Arkansas and rode motorcycles through it. Love it!!
So jealous... moving to a different state, new sights new adventures... What a thrill...long as we live close to a rescue unit , hospital ( for our daughter ) There is usually a super wal mart some where close by , im good
Been thru that area sooo many times. Back and forth from Indiana to Arkansas since I was a little. Loads of family around Mt Home and was born there! I seen that series...It was interesting! So glad you guys took a road trip!
What don't you like about the Taxes? HAHAHA Derek needs to be a stand-up comedian, he's always outstanding in his field!!! 95 degs. with 92% humidity with a 100 % chance of Moistness!!! that windshield will be due for replacement when you move to Arkansas or it will be a spiderweb by winter. Have a great trip back to AZ!!!! and keep it between the lines!
Really ten thumbs down ??? Seriously this is the sweetest people ever ant the way they love ALL THERE ANIMALS, ridiculous I would NEVER DO THAT have a great one drive safe
The arch is very cool alright. Made of stainless steel, one leg (maybe both) is hollow with a very cool system that carries people up to observation windows in the very top-center segment. The documentary about its construction is very interesting, too. Quite a novel feat of engineering, building two legs to meet and having to wait for temperature to be just right so the final section would fit so precisely. As to Arkansas humidity, most of the year fight humidity with water-plenty of cool clear streams and rivers all over AR!
Really enjoyed the goat from Louisville, sounds like you might have made up your minds about Arkansas. From the previous videos you guys made looks like it will be your little slice of heaven. Have fun, looking around places. Still hoping you have a little surprise baby goat from your trip.
My nerves always get TOTALLY shot when going through the big cities! I don't drive through them ( though I have) my husband does now. And he really likes to do what I call "road hunt" no matter where we are so I end up paying attention to the roads! And getting on him about speeding!!! Shewwwwwwwwww LOL
I live across the river from there not too far from Cahokia Mounds, we're known for having the largest catsup bottle water tower in the US at least if not the world.
I liked Harrison, Arkansas up and coming town nice place to homestead a goat dairy. If you can buy sixty acres.might be able to cut and bale your own hay for winter. Would have to breed in November and December for March and April babies will need barn with heat in concrete in winter will be warmer. A lights in each birthing stall. About six stalls with bigger area for the rest of the herd. Then breed back and keep milking until last 30days.
OH FUN FACT! Did you know the Mississippi head waters begin in Grand Rapids Minnesota? Ilived in MN for a time Squaw Lake and Grand Rapids was the closest city to buy groceries (about 45 min drive South) I live in Oklahoma (South East) now. Born and raised in Michigan, the HECK with all that snow and cold weather!!!
Been there.. I grew up in INDIANA, then lived in San Francisco bay area for 25 years, moved back to Indiana and my job sent me to AZ for 3 years. The best was CA, loved the weather there. AZ I made great friends but that dry hot hot weather for over half the year really hated it. Indiana gets very hot and humid as well But take that over AZ any day, do hate the snow but we are ok Dint get that much.
So weird seeing buildings I recognize in your videos. Really hoping you all move closer to MO. It's true the humidity in the Midwest is a killer but the fall colors are amazing!
Driving through East St. Louis one time, my mother in law reached over and locked her car door then instructed everybody else to do the same...We were going 70 mph on the interstate 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hi guys I’m in Arkansas And that mighty Mississippi there in St Louis is tiny there. Come to Memphis You will see that cool but Deadly River is very dangerous When I was young I swam in that dangerous water! St. Louis is HOT 🥵
hahahahah in E St. Louis Don't stop lol Keep driving quickly!!! I was raised just over the River in Illinois and have family there still. My cousin is an officer in E St. Louis and it's just horrible there now. Sooo many Field Trips in school we would go to the Mc Donalds Steam boat (no longer there) that was on the banks of the MIssissippi. The most amazing part of St Louis other than the Cardinals, going up in the Arch was the VIP Fair on the 4th of July! Nothing compares to fireworks reflecting in good ole muddy Mississippi!!! Have to say though every time I see the Arch NOT ARK lololol It just FEELS like home!!!! Gooooo Cards!!!!
July and August are horrible pretty much everywhere! I moved from Central CA to middle TN and have NO REGRETS. The low cost of living (taxes, utilities, vehicle fees, etc), the wonderful people and the fact that EVERYTHING IS GREEN, more than makes up for a few uncomfortable months. You need to move ASAP, your goats will thank you!!
Funny, when you said „super old buildings“ I was thinking 16th century buildings and then realized that in the US it wouldn’t be as old as that 😅 all depends on your perspective, doesn’t it?! I really enjoy hearing about the bits and pieces of US history, by the way. Don’t know much about it as I have never been to the US.
getting turned around in big citys....oh dear ... I used to work for the YMCA and our corp office was in Detroit. I had meetings once a month. If I blinked too long I'd miss a turn. So one day I was listening to an audio book and missed my turn (before good cell maps) I was in the side streets...Called in and someone at the front desk said he would talk me in. He said what do you see. I gave him the streets, he paused, said, do you see the city in front of you? I said yet.... he said quickly...turn around turn around turn around. I got concerned and said, I can't just make a u-turn I'll get a ticket....he says..."honey, there are no police where you are....." whoopsie...I made my turn and got out....hahaha.
When you drive thru Springfield you will be 12 minutes from my farm. But if you drive down 65 Highway then Honk, I might hear ya!!! But I hear you are going to an air B&B in Arkansas so I bet you will drive right by us!!! Then wave!!!
Sounds like you are really aiming and liking Arkansas will that be a move??? It's a nice area where you were before. You said you were glad to get out to travel and visit family you should of had your kids do a live feed or like on a iPad and showed you the goats, pigglets???? I hope so cute.glad you guys are really enjoying yourselves so relaxed
