It is older footage of us driving from Phoenix, to the Grand Canyon, during a USA Road Trip a few years ago.
Beautiful landscapes, and a jaw dropping wonder when we arrived there!

Thanks for the share! Im from NYC and will be in Phoenix for the halloween and will be driving to the Grand Canyon. This gave me a good glimpse on what its like, now time to experience it myself.

Thanks for sharing the video. If I were to skip Sedona is there any mountain roads without rails at all from phoenix to South rim?

Sorry, I am not sure about that. We visited a few years back, and are from the UK, so it was a real whistle stop tour! Thanks for stoping by and commenting though, have a great day

Hi there, to be honest, it was a few years ago now, so can't quite remember. I know it took us most of the day, but we did stop in Sedona for a couple of hours at least. Thanks for watching!

we are doing this for Xmas in 6 weeks. what a perfect video. thank you for this share. Gonna be colder than your vid...but from my info gathering 📡🛰😄, it should be less busy. Question. How long did the drive take and was there somewhere close to overnight..so you can enjoy both sunset and sunrise over the south rim.?? Cheers from N Seattle

Hey Everett, thanks for checking out the video, glad it was useful! I am sorry, I can't recall how long the journey took, we actually did it in 2013! In terms of places to stay, we stayed at a place called the Red Feather Lodge. It is about 7 miles from the South Rim Visitors centre. We did the same, saw the sunset in the eve, drove back to the hotel, and woke up early to see the Sunrise. Being from the UK, we were still Jet-lagged, so the getting up part was easy for us!! :) I hope you have a great trip, and enjoy the wonder of the Grand Canyon. It is a truly magnificent place to witness! Rich

How much time in total did you allow yourself? Also did you drive back to Phoenix or go to another airport for your return trip?

@@MsMimireilly We drove nonstop through the night..from Las Vegas strip, to the South Rim. It took over 6.5 hrs, and then checked in at the pre registered hotel, inside the park. We got some sleep..then got up for the sunset..only to find everything covered in clouds and then the snow came. Got some dinner, and rest again in our room. Next morning, we had 4 inches of snow to drive out of..andade it back to Las Vegas by 2 pm. Crazy schedule but worth it.
