The title should say "Riding to Work in London". Driving into central London is the slowest way to get around, as proven by Top Gear years ago, and its even worse now. It is very beautiful, don't get me wrong, but the slowness especially during rush hour is soul crushing a worse than the tube, dare I say. I personally cycle myself and was lucky in the past 10 years or so that my commute was always faster than any other mode of transfer. Though motorbikes might be faster if you live-work in different areas than me.
Often the 🚴♂️ in lycra are doing well over the 20mph limit so our motorcycles are not much faster. The best trip average was 21mph for scooter! I found that the slow traffic is mainly due to road works and road closures these days. Especially when they are closing the Blackwall tunnel or Rotherhithe tunnel.
