Why do people keep saying exhaust snorkel? It makes no difference unless you want to shut it off while underwater, the intake going under is the issue.

Yep, take the doors off. Water rushes into 1 side and weight distribution gets unbalanced, leaning to water side and gets worse as more water is taken. Only other option is to creep in, stop occasionally and allow water to level inside before going deeper.

If I were attempting this: 1. 3-4 two inch holes in floor, and/or remove doors 2. Flexible, floating snorkel 3. Electrical grease on every electric connection I could find 4. Decent or at least fully charged battery Glad I'm not tho, good luck guys!

Problem with a soft hose is water pressure at depth plus negative air pressure from the intake will just cause the pipe to collapse.

1) Drill some holes in the floor to allow the water to enter the cab. 2) Glue on a female pipe thread adapter on the PVC at the opening through the hood so you can close the hood and then screw on the intake snorkel that has the threaded Male adapter. Unscrew the snorkel to open the hood for service. 3) Rig up a coil on plug setup

@@johnnylopez7861 that's not really necessary as long as it keeps running. The water doesn't create enough pressure at those depths to cause much problems. It's no different than going under water and exhaling and blowing bubbles without water choking you.

"A" for effort . Silicone grease your plug and cap wires, pop off the doors and load a few cast iron cylinder heads to make it less buoyant . You will need to be negatively buoyant to get enough traction to make it across. Also, your battery needs to have a charge. The alternator most likely will not work under water . With no power it will not run. Enjoy your videos!

Their transmition and differential need breather or else they can't catch the clutch properly, water will make it slippery

There's a spray used to waterproof tanks and stuff. Forget the name but it forms a thin barrier. They could also use dialectric grease so even if it does get wet, it'll complete the circuirt. In fact, they could actually load up the distributor with the stuff so even if water gets in, it'll still spark properly.

Dielectric grease is a silicone-based grease that repels moisture and protects electrical connections against corrosion. The grease does not conduct electricity, so it shouldn't be applied directly to the mating surfaces (pins and sockets) of an electrical connection.

rip the whole front clip off and build a water tight box in the engine compartment. snorkel intake and exhaust. and add a breather for the engine box. remove the doors and windows, you don't need them.
