There's a deep water kit that pumps positive pressure into the vents to keep everything dry. They're on Ebay. Also, need to take your canvas top off. Keeping you from sinking as fast as you could, AND you're going to total the side bows.

DUDE !!! the water is getting in at the flanges not at the tail pipe !! those flanges NEVER seal !! they are exactly like a valve and seat, tapered fitting. They LEAK just like a bad valve seat ! put some Extreme Heat Gasket Sealer in there and tighten barely snug.... wait two hours, then tighten and torque them so they're even torque on the flange seat. NOW you won't lose horsepower, shoot water out the exhaust and eventually hydro-lock the motor. DO IT MAN ! and add 15' to your tranny vent line.... and make sure it's sealed up good. YOU CAN MAKE IT !

2 things we need for this to work : 1) PAINT IT YELLOW! Everybody knows a good submarine is supposed to be yellow! 2) They're going to have to really seal the complete intake and exhaust until it's truly air tight AND ADD A SUPERCHARGER. I feel like Cleetus should know this, as a scuba driver (yes, I know auto correct fucked up "diver" but I'm leaving it in, since we're driving under water here) but for every 30 ft you go under, you're enduring a bar of extra pressure bearing down on you, which is why you breathe through a pressure regulator that equalises the outside pressure with the pressure going into your lungs. You're going to have to overcome the water pressure with the pressure of the air going into the engine. That's why it's running so rough. It's choking. Basic physics, guys.

what's funny is the fact that humvee has had more abuse since cleetus has owned it than it saw when in service and it has had more servicing done to it than it had in the service. LOL

As a former HMMWV maintenance and SL-3 NCO, I can assure you that these trucks either work or don't. When they work they are insanely impressive. But they generally don't.

The aneroid in the fuel injection pump is being crushed by the water pressure, enrichening the fuel. It needs to be disconnected in order to keep the engine running!

Slather a bunch of JB Water Weld on any seams in the intake and exhaust and you're golden 😂🤣 You'll get'er next time!

I've you'll buy the deep water fording kit it has a cdr valve upgrade that sends crank pressure to diffs, brakes trans etc helping keep water out. Pointless if it stalls and is submerged for minutes tho lol

Hey man, that thing has an exhaust leak somewhere near where the headers come together. I drove these things for 8yrs and they are horrible for that. I can hear it leaking that's why you are filling the exhaust up with water.

Try charging or changing your secondary battery. HMMWVs with allison transmissions are hooked to the second battery for gear selection. This could be causing your shifting problem.

I think you need to put some kind of paddle tires to get grip at the bottom. Or since you are going slow, maybe have some "rims" cut out of 1/2" steel with the right bolt pattern, and with steel paddled welded all around.. you just want maximum grip at that point!
