Thank you for posting this. As an aspiring amateur drone photographer/videographer I find your information priceless. I so have question for you, any tips for us whose craft DON'T have a gimbal axis camera? My current beat drone is my Snaptain sp500. And while I have no complaints about it (it certainly performs up to the advertising) but alas the lack of a gimbal is obvious in my footage....
The left joystick explained in 2:20 My tip tip for beginners is a kind of poem, i learn it to myself. ''Up / down, spinning around" Keep that in mind for the left stick. A outstanding vid Jeven!!

how long did it take after ordering it. mine was supposed to be here yesterday and now its saying the 6th. I am dying to recieve it. I havent bought anything thats had me this excited in quite some time!! lol

just got a dji mini 2 and all my questions answered in 1 vid especially the part about nd filters since i thought i should not even fly without an nd filter👍 i definitely gonna be watching this vid couple of times
Everything you teach about photography in 1 this hour video was more than I learned in my two year 2 hour per day high school photography course which took 2 years. That's public school for you.

I'm about twice your age (+) with a semi-pro background in photography ... I got my Mini 2 literally about 3 days ago ... I've been watching many videos ... so that I have a clue or two as to what I'm doing. You're one of the best, if not the best, ... I've encountered here on YT. Your explanations make sense and your videos have great production values in my estimation ... all things I look for and appreciate. Within the next few days, I think I'll actually be ready to fly. This is the most informative and honest tutorial on drones so far. I like how you specifically discussed the purpose of ND filters. Other tutorials always recommend using ND filters, which makes it more complicated and frustrating especially if you're still starting out with using a drone. Thanks a lot!

One more thing I need to add, as a lifelong photographer --- your lighting set up in your studio is aces. Great use of small aperture, rim lighting, excellent key light great bokeh in the background with interest added by the rim lights as part of the shot. There is a lot to learn for vloggers and youtubers from just looking at how you set up your vlog shots.

Jeven, I wanted to thank you! I have been riding with you now for about a year (since buying my DJI Mini 3 Pro) and though I watch "everything possible to learn from", you are always my go-to resource. I refer back to this video fairly often to remind me of the basis and have made about 50-videos, learning a great deal from each experience. I also just ordered a Mavic 3 Pro and I'm so excited about the additional creative tools it will provide. I'm not very good YET, but I'm working hard to get better - and much of the growth I have made, is a result of your amazing classes. Thanks again.
I'm new to "droning," just received my Mavic Air2s, and like any "Nube" - totally clueless about drones. That is, until I found your RU-vid channel, Dude, the way you explain everything, while showing it - every concept you're presenting just "becomes crystal clear." After watching several of your videos - I've unboxed my drone, registered it (FAA) and have been setting up preferences in my DJIfly app - like it's something I've done for years. Next step will be the "maiden voyage" and then just flying to "get the feel of it." After that, I'll employ some of your filmmaking techniques. Dude - you ROCK, and you're THE BEST!

As always, great stuff. It used to be that each manufacturer used to supply a detailed Manual with each product. Not any more. They put out complicated product, and rely on people like Jeven to explain how to operate it. Without these RU-vid tutorials, we would still be flying our drones into every tree in town. Wow! This video is an awesome Beginner’s teaching tool. Key positive point is that HE GETS TO THE POINT! He explains, the point or topic, and then moves on to the next. He’s NOT trying to be a COMEDIAN, he doesnt sound conceded, acting as if he is the Guru of all things, and doesnt RAMBLE ON about things that have nothing to do with what you came here for. He isnt “Talking Shop with his buddy” as if they have been through so much over their vast lifetime of experiences. His explanations are clear and to the point. No one wants to hear about what you did back in 1987, or the picnic you went on with your buddies……We Dont Care…We came to Learn about the Topic. THANK YOU for your superb educational videos. I know how to Fly a Drone. Using photographic techiques, using settings, etc., I’m not so knowledgeable. Thats why I am watching your video….to LEARN! Whole lotta stuff to digest in this video. Good thing I learned with cameras back when you used light meters, manually set ISO based on the FILM you were using and all that. I was developing B&W film when I was 11 in 6th grade, what a blast (yes that was 50+ years ago for me). B&W is under-used these days, for photos but isn't the best for most videos. I just got my Mini 2 SE so looking for tips and this was a good video. Thanks.
Thank you very informative, I haven’t flown my Mavic Pro 2 in almost a year and I’ve just bought the Mini 2. There are times I think we should all go back to basic to iron out mistakes we have pick up along the way. We are all guilty of letting things as a one off but become a lot more that. So much to learn. I’ve been flying since 2018 so much to learn .thank all of you guys put out time and effort to create videos that is difficult and most people does not realize how difficult until they try to do it themselves
Thanks for this! Got a DJI drone after two cheap ones. I wasn't thinking of quality picture/video taking. This helped me see the drone as a serious piece of photographic equipment...as well as a hell of a lot of fun.
