@Pink Alien In what way does his comment elude to him thinking it is only an Australian problem? He simple pointed out that this is too mad things that have happened recently so close together, maybe go back to school fella aye.
This is very real and what Australians living in this part of NSW are coping and dealing with as part of daily life. I love the way they get on with it while offering support and strength to each other. Those who have little to give are still giving. Hope you get that desperately needed decent rainfall soon.
I've seen dozens of dust storms living there. And they are utterly harmless and mundane unless you happen to be dumb enough to continue driving through it or something. We cope with it and deal with it because it's harmless.
Enough to put you in a stupor. I hope no one's already numbed down to thinking they've already seen this in 'Interstellar' and 'Mad Max Fury Road' - need to remind ourselves: this is real.
Australia right now looks like the prelogue scene of a post-apocalypse movie where it shows all this type of news coverage.. then fades to black.. and it's like.. "20 years later..".
Imagine speeding down the highway doing 120 ks with the storm chasing behind ya and all of a sudden it just overtakes and engulfs you, you see nothing and hear just roaring winds while the sand batters against your windows.
Imagine your just taking a walk and u see everybody running u look in front of u *there is a massive dust storm* u try to run but it’s too late your in the path of the dust storm
Went to a Mars exhibition at the London Design Museum a couple of months ago. It looks just like Mars, red sweeping clouds of dust. Apparently they last 3 months at a time on Mars. Let's hope it's over more quickly for poor Victoria :(
A political adviser is probably putting together a Powerpoint at this moment highlighting the potential use for Australia in new vacuum technology called "Doomba""
Bro I’m totally getting Mission Impossible vibes right now. We need Tom Cruise chasing someone across the top of the Sydney Harbour bridge ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have they got a licence for that drone? I'm reporting it. Disgraceful. Somebody is attempting to think for themselves, and that's not a world I want to live in.
So NSW is currently still on fire, covered in ice and hail stones the size of baseballs, flooded and smothered in dust storms. what else can be added to that?
