This upgrade is a big change. My GT comes with HID low beams but high beams were always lacking. This is a change for the better. A side note!! Heavy fog areas might benifit from the yellowish stock halogen bulbs. I dont daily my MX-5 and it hardly sees rain. Not a concern for me. The black plates add a finished look. Excellent choice!
You’ve got me as close as I’ve been yet to going LED on my NC1, because when I added LED headlights to my former NB1, I lost the blue high beam indicator, despite the manufacturer claiming that wouldn’t happen. I have added LED bulbs to all of the interior lights in my NC, but have hesitated on the headlights, turn signals, and tail lights.
Very interesting. Here in Switzerland the periodic technical inspection requires lights (and even bulbs) to be approved for street use. Is that not the case for you or are all Auxito LEDs DOT approved for public highway use? All the best, Rob (2009 NC2 2.0 Sport in True Red) in Switzerland
Just because the light is whiter does not make it automatically better. What counts is how well you can see obstackles/critters on the side of the road. Excessive glare will not help. A high CRI LED will help. At least this is only changing high beam bulb, not the low beam, so less likely to blind oncoming drivers as LED low beam bulbs (in halogen housings) can do. Assuming they are dipped...
Hey there I love the video and just purchased these lights for my 2011 grand touring! Also, I wanted to mention I was able to find a pretty good fix for the rattling retractable hardtop. I'm not sure if yours is still rattling or not but I found a really good solution!
Let us know what you did! I did a fix back in 2021, but I need to check it again because that fix may be starting to wear down. But I used adhesive foam inside the latch mechanism.
@@FlywheelFilms So what I did is kind of the same thing, except buy used 1mm felt tape inside the latch mechanism along with both left and right latch points and it made a huge difference.
Love your videos! Hey if you painted your garage you would be shocked how good it will look! Lol i know this doesn’t have anything to do with this video!
I installed auxito lights into my fog and headlights but for some reason the highbeam dash light always stays “lit” even when not toggled. Do you know what might cause this. I own a 2008 NC1 GT model
I've been buying SeaLight LED (model without the fan) off of Amazon an have done 10 Toyota Cars and 1 Jeep without any issues , the one I did on my 2011 Toyota Rav4 I drove cross country and back and left them on for 14hrs and they still have burned out after 11,000 miles + of driving
You do realise that the light housings and reflectors on cars with halogen bulbs are completely different from the housings on LED vehicles? That’s why conversions are illegal, because the light is thrown in a completely different way, and without changing over the entire light housing you will be blinding everyone driving toward you. Very selfish, and very stupid.
I didn’t touch my headlights, which are most crucial in your point. That’s very valid. But brights are never used unless there are zero cars and people present. Basically off-road scenario! The other bulbs in their housings though make no difference. So I’m going to stick with my self-assessment that I’m neither selfish nor stupid, despite what Jackson says. 🤷🏻♂️
You didn’t even gave to take the front bumper off!? Every time I see a headlight video on these cars they insist on taking front bumper off. Why is that?
For some bulbs, it's definitely easier to take the bumper off. Especially if I were to replace the main projector bulbs. And turn signals are very very tight without the bumper off.
