bhanu A Incorrect. It's from our country(Pakistan), so its our heritage, simple as that. There was no India then. It's coterminous Pakistan, thus it's the cultural heritage of Pakistani people. Even if India had existed then, which it never did (because "india" is a word invented by the british), this civilization still isn't coterminous india, it's coterminous Pakistan and a place where our ancestors, not yours, lived. I was glad to fly past Pakistan the first time when on way from the middle-east to Delhi, and was sad to only behold the wonderful Indus river serpentine across the big swath of land, that marked one of the earliest civilizations of the world. Pity that we neighbours cannot get along well together, else we could've visited each others historical places and appreciate each other much more.

The whole of central asia has fascinated me for the richness and the vastness of its history.

There are fire altars. Everyone ones, Hinduism in it's earlier stages were fire-ritualistic and hence there are various types of altars. Plenty of altars have been found in many Indus Valley cities. Also, the fact that there is no pre-Sanskrit river names for any of the rivers in the land of seven fivers is a testament to it's antiquity

Indus valley civilization was a proto Buddhist civilization. It was never destroyed. It's proven. Many stupas have been found in indus valley civilization, and still being discovered. Harrapa also had stupa bigger than this stupa, which was demolished in 1921. Before shakya muni sukti (Gautam Buddha) , there were 27 more Buddhas.
