Droomvlucht (Dream Flight) Dark Ride - Efteling Theme Park, The Netherlands 

I would never want this ride to end! Those floating cities in the stars - wow! I can only imagine how wide-eyed I'd be if I got to see this as a child.

My all time favorite Efteling attraction! I could go on this a million times and I would probably still enjoy it. Also a fun fact: it smells like flowers inside the ride!

As a person who has frequented many a dark ride at Disneyland for years, Efteling's rides have a wondrous childlike charm all their own. They often remind me of European stop-motion animations of fairy tales. Kudos to their designers and engineers. :)

It literally smells like flowers in there... the real experience is SO magical! I was so lucky :o take me back!!!!

Amazing Dark Ride! This actually puts Disney to shame lol, it's got so much charm, and the sets are truly amazing. Loved the Star Tunnel too, best effect of that sort I've ever seen.

I work at Disneyland and this is still my favorite theme park I have ever visited! And this is definitely my favorite ride

From what I've seen online, Efteling is the only non-Disney theme park I'd be excited to visit.

It’s a very beautiful ride. I have been on it more than once. What you don’t notice in the video is that at the end you go in a kind of free fall down around that tree. Just like a kind of slow roller coaster. I love it.

Not going to lie, this ride would probably be a blast while being high.

Efteling is a lot like what Disneyland used to be in the 60s when there were a lot of dark rides that were not tied to any intellectual property

Getting a strong "Dark Crystal" vibe from this ride

This has to be one of the best darkrides in the world, everybody can experience it in their own way and there is no real storyline. You just fly through a world of fairytales and dreams. I love it and great vid to show this world class ride to the rest of the world

That was otherworld like and beautiful. The music, the ambience everything was wonderful and very European. I enjoyed it a lot and would love to go on it someday!!

For everyone here not living in the Netherlands: come visit! The Efteling is a really fun and high quality theme park, and the most people that come love it. I have a funny story about Dream Flight. So, my dad, mom, brother and me went into this ride, and we wanted to sit in a vehicle together. The vehicles are officially for max 3 persons (i guess) but we tried it. I was on the side, but it was really, really tight. My legs where stuck and i could barely move. But you know, that's fine. Until there comes a part where the vehicle moves op and tilts. The weight of 3 persons pushes on me, And it really hurts. Good thing that this is a short lift, because i would be a pancake otherwise! Afterwards we can still laugh about it, of course, and we had a great day. I am a huge fan of this ride and the Efteling. So if you've read this whole comment: thank you and have a nice day!

Those ride vehicles sort of remind me of the old Horizons at Epcot.

Fond memories of a visit with the Rollercoaster Fan Club of GB in the 90s I nearly walked away from as was at a low point in my life...glad I stuck it out!

Gorgeous scenery and dreamlike vistas. They could really benefit from a lighting change for the fairies. They have built some artistically supreme creations.

This is beautiful! If I was at this park I'd ride this often! It's like It's a Small World with better music and characters and such a relaxing atmosphere!

Whoa...this is a Dream Flight. Absolutely beautiful!! Though I loved Disney's Dream Flight back in the day, this absolutely deserves the title! I don't know why, but I am especially partial to ceiling track rides. Thank you for filming this beautiful piece of art!

I have been on this ride like 20 times, it never gets old. I live in the Netherlands and the Efteling is amazing. My favorite scene is the planet one.

This ride is like both The Haunted Mansion and Peter Pan's Flight.

This ride is so unbelievably gorgeous! It for some reason reminds me of my grandparents and the little pictures and porcelain figurines they used to have in their houses when I was a little boy. Is the park influenced by the art of Jean-Baptiste Monge at all? EDIT: After some research, realize the park is much older than that, and is primarily from the art of Dutch illustrator Anton Pieck, who must have influenced Jean-Baptiste Monge in some way.

The space castles were really cool.

When they put SOOO MUCH more depth into the ride experience than that sh#%ty Millennium Falcon simulator at Disney’s Galaxy’s Edge. This ride looks incredible and immersive. Thank you for sharing! I would love to go on this ride.

This video doesn't let you experience the wonderful smells at this attraction . It's just magical. Transports you to the world of Elves and Trolls, like in a dream.

Truly amazing!! Reminds me of darkness ride when I was a kid & the owners of the park were passionate about the effort they put into keep their dark ride like you were entering a whole other universe. As a kid it really felt magical!! Old school, but in the best possible way. Thank you so much for sharing this!! 💜💜💜

What you don't see or smell in this video is that the dream flight/ droomvlucht got their own fragrance. They also sell it in little bottles as home perfume ♡ Often I sit at my couch with candles on and that home perfume and ofcourse the efteling CD on. And I really feel I'm right there. ☆☆☆

Wonderful ride

Everyone gets The Dark Crystal vibes from this, but me, as an Efteling- and Dark Crystal-fan doesn’t. It’s really another world, another time, but it’s very different. Thra is not filled with beautiful flowers, soaring castles and trolls. The scene where you go in circles down the trees may feel a bit the same, but Droomvlucht is not steampunk, not dark and not scary (maybe a little bit). Oh, and you can’t compare this ride to Disney. The ride system maybe a bit similar to Peter Pan’s Flight, but that’s all.

Just watching the video made me feel like I was leaving the real world; must be enchanting in person.

I'm of Dutch heritage, and I went here as a kid. I remember it vividly but forgot the name. Thanks so much for the memories.

This ride soundtrack is so beautiful/ fun with a overall soothing ambiance. As a Disneyland, Anaheim fan I can say this is comparable if not better then some of there dark rides.
