is there a way to cut the hair before letting it grow out that long or do you let it grow out then cut and style it the way you want?

Yes, absolutely. If his hair had been recently cut into this style we could of started with the fade and worked up into the Graduation

why dont you use clipper at the first place ? whats the point of the shear cutting from the beginning ?

In this instance it was to set the shape and also efficiency. Because we started with the box section we needed to wet the hair down, if we faded immediately we would need to dry the hair off, fade it and then re wet the hair down, wasting time. Please let us know if you have any more questions

Thankyou, and thankyou for your intrigue, It was just a decision made on this t haircut. We could have also started with our clippers. 1 reason we sometimes choose this way is for efficiency because we wet the hair to section, if we started to fade we would then have to dry it and then re wet to graduate.
