Holy JESUS! You have some easy soil to dig. I get about 10” down through the topsoil and it’s rock hard hard pan. I literally have to use a roto hammer with a spade to plant a tree or shrub in my soil. My soil breaks in shale like plates. Good job my friend.
Yeah we defiantly do no denying that. Thank you! I grew up in Western WA on glacier deposit and we couldn't put a shovel into the ground without hitting rocks so I'm very appreciative of the place we live now. I put up over 400' of privacy fence (52 fence post all dug by hand) It never would have been possible with soil like yours or like what I grew up on.
Thank you! yeah I wanted to rent a mini backhoe but nothing was available for months. So I didn't have much of a choice. I had already made up my mind that it was going to get done and not much stops me when I get in that mode. Not sure if I'll ever attempt that again! but makes for a great story now.
Perfect 😍 I want the same done in my yard but I also want the garden home effect or greenhouse almost atrium style to use year round and keeping the it 80degress when desiring a swim
Thank you! I've had this question a number of times since building it and I can give what I paid 2 years ago but I have no idea what inflation has done to the material cost now. The pool manufactures tend to run seasonal deals and I've seen the pool listed for less then what we paid. The pool was $6,000 (from The Pool Factory), the porcelain pavers were $2,500, Trex deck boards came to $1,000, concrete for all the post was about $350, lumber was $2,000. There was probably another $2000 in miscellaneous things like fasteners, electrical, new pool pump and sand filter, piping, tool rental, ect... I know the total came in around 15K and then we still had to find all the decor to put around it. Oh and of course my effort was priceless...lol! Hope this helps, Thanks again!
@DomT_1987 , Thank you! I ordered them off of Amazon. I also used the same ones on the side of the pool to light it up as well.
