The cracked tanks are the later version ones (90-93/ 94 vert) which are different from yours - which generally speaking, do not have issues. I repaired my 91 SPG with fuel compatible aerospace epoxy.

Is there one same spot where they all cracks, or several places to look for cracks?

@@TerjeNormann Most of the examples I have seen are on the top of tank where they start to curve down the vertical sides. If you have a crack - and the fuel smell will alert you - it will be evident where the hole is when you drop the tank.

@@TheBTG88 I have for sure smell of fuel, and that is why I ask... I replaced the two short hoses for the fuel filler neck earlier, because it did smell fuel from the outside of them too, but still I have a strong smell in the trunk, outside the car and also inside the car if it has been parked for some day closed. 1992 convertible.
