The sad thing is she married Bob Marley's son, who turned around and did to her exactly what she tried to empower women not to happen to them. He slept around, fathered children outside their marriage and honestly turned her very bitter for a long time. Tragic. But she is unconquerable. This album is especially special.

They were never married. He had two children from a previous marriage and had children after (years after) his relationship with Lauryn ended. In fact, all of his children after Lauryn are under 4 years old. He and Lauren have been broken up for almost a decade.

this incorrect. He never had children outside of him and Lauren's union. He had one before and one after. The other 5 are him and Lauren's and it was very well known Lauren had/has mental issues. He never spoke one bad word about her . I love LBoogie but this incorrect.

The track became the first single since Debbie Gibson's 1989 single "Lost in Your Eyes" to reach number one in the US, that was written, produced and recorded by one sole woman. Hill joined Roberta Flack, Linda Goldstein, and Sinéad O'Connor as the only women at the time to solely produce a number one single, and joined the latter three woman along with Valerie Simpson and Ellie Greenwich as the sixth woman overall to produce a number one single.

There is an artist named Kutiman who put together 2 projects called “ Thru You” and “Thru You Too”. In the projects, he takes videos of people posting themselves playing their instruments, unaware that Kutiman might one day come along and sample their video, as well as other unsuspecting musicians, to create new songs. As someone that grew up in the 90’s…there were probably 4-5 musical savants that got started that decade…It’s unfortunate that they have all gone relatively unappreciated as time has past, and even more mind blowing is that 2 of the 5 are Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean.
