Farah Nusrat hi you need minimum 30 years daily/weekly data.

Varsha Pandey There is a program which is called DMAP but it's not free. I can't say DrinC is better than SPI Program but DrinC gives better freedom in terms of managing your result as well as in deciding your time steps/scales plus you don't need to draw a graph by yourself, the program will do it for you. You can calculate agricultural, meteorological and hydrological drought as well using DrinC.
