Drought (Cinematic Arrangement) - Pokémon Ruby 

“The water…” “What about it?” “It’s evaporating.” “Of course it is child, it wa-“ “No, look!” Maxie stares out at the water. Unnatural amounts of steam are rising from it. “…oh no.”

The best version of this theme on the internet, hands down with no competition. The apocalypse has come and this music encapsulates that feeling of dread and anxiety well. Now enjoy a paragraph I felt like writing while inspired by this music. As Maxie held the Red Orb up to the slumbering Groudon, it awoke and color returned to its body. The greyed out figure now became red, and roared for the Orb. Soon enough, the Orb was attracted to Groudon, and it enveloped the legendary Pokemon in full, bright red crystals bearing the omega symbol...perhaps as a foreshadow of what would emerge from that crystal...the end. The crystal cocoon broke apart as Groudon bursted out roaring, the cracks in its body previously black were now glowing with flowing magma, as if its blood was magma. Groudon was no longer that blend of orange red, instead it was dyed in a deep bright crimson. Maxie stood in awe of what had emerged and was speechless as Groudon left the cavern to the surface. Minutes later, Maxie received a signal from his men on the surface. "Sir, it's urgent! The ocean is evaporating and more land is appearing rapidly!". "Of course it is grunt, that was the plan." Maxie responded in a cold tone, almost as if he was annoyed by the grunts seeming lack of awareness to Team Magma's plans. "Sir...come up and see for yourself what I mean." Maxie felt annoyed but went up anyway. The drill took a short time to return as the hole they made to get down hadn't caved in. Max stepped out to blazing heat, an abnormally bright sun, and steam rising from the entire ocean. At the same time, entire small islands were rising and appearing from the ocean. Only now did Maxie fully grasp why the grunt sounded worried. Groudon wouldn't just make new land for man and Pokemon. In his primal form, he would raze the Earth with heat unbearable, land unending, deserts unforgiving, and water would be all but nonexistant. The full weight of his actions...and their consequences had finally caught up to him. He underestimated the legendary Pokemon of the land and the power it wielded in its ancient form. Soon, his wish would be granted, and the world would be barren and inhospitable to life itself. The drought had only just begun, for the omega of Team Magma would be the end of not only them, but everyone else on this world.

This is the best version of this theme I've heard. Perfectly captures the apocalyptic feel
