I cant deny this sounds pretty good really dark aesthetic for sure and the guitar work is golden throughout im hoping the other band members are aware of the past and know when to be suspicious if anything arises

Tbh that's pretty cool. I'm not gonna say negative shit bcs that's actually good & fresh. Defamed and Drown in Sulphur are two different bands now and at this point IMO it's a very positive thing having more bands out there with their respective visions and concepts. @@DrownInSulphur I like it, not as much as the old, one thing I would like to see is more understandable vocals, I do vocals I can make this style understandable. So I know you probably could, then I would enjoy more. It’s really not that hard to pronounce words so it doesn’t sound like a bunch of growling. Less mic cupping too. I don’t cheat like that. Other than that it’s good. Liked the old vibes more though by far.

Defamed will always have the higher ground. Your drumming isn't nearly good enough to make this band. Also, huge agree with the should change names. It's an entirely new project now.
Of course there’s tons of bands better or worse than us but that’s not the point, Drown In Sulphur is a whole new creature with members who put effort, money, resources and energy in this project. Taking sides it’s useless because you’re mostly going against people that has nothing to do with the old situation

fuckin liar, if you’ve been watching these guys from the “beginning” you would’ve known these are not the same people from their past songs, the band split up because the drummer decided why the fuck not, so, stop lying, stop making false claims, if you like their music okay fine but don’t lie that you’ve been a fan for a while when you don’t even know what happened to them & who/what their sound is now.
I smell cap. You have certainly not been here from beginning to end, at least not as much as you claim you have. I know that because I actually have been there from early on (not quite beginning) but long enough to know that their drummer kicked out all of the other members after taking over all of the social accounts for the band, who then went on to create a new band with the same sound they've always had and actually a better drummer

I don't agree with how things went down between everyone in DIS and Defamed. BUT the fact that DIS still sounds like they did to an extent makes me less mad about it. Now we have two brutal as fuck bands and that makes me a happy boi

Someone recommended this to me saying it was great, in my opinion it ok, but it is kind of boring. Does anyone have recommendations for songs in the metal type genres?
That's true, i love Defamed but I want to see how new Drown in Sulphur evolves and so far (forget about Earth Reset because I hate that single ahah) is pretty good, I mean Brain dead and this one are solid.
There are plenty of bands. The guys in Defamed were done dirty by the shitbird in this band. "They never wanted to play." Bullshit, an EP within a year of reformation proves otherwise.
Even if people arent as big a fan, for some reason this is refreshing to me. Usually, i cannot stand black metal not to hate on jt, isnt my cup of tea. I like the piano and 🎸 and head banging that's what I call black metal synth I relate to it I want to buy cd I hope they do documentary of the band and interview one by one member of the group and they came with that sound and symbol art work that would be cool and trust me black metal is always be in my symbol of blood in my chest
Great song guys! Not trite as the vast majority of blackened deathcore and there's something very unique in this song! So yes, I agree with people who can appreciate that now we have 2 different bands who both do cool stuff
Listen. This song is actually really cool. the riff at 1:20 is brutal, But mister drummer man, you fucked up your friendship with a whole band and in turn this band has made some bangers and so has Defamed. so thanks for giving us twice the bangers.

Yea, their older stuff had a cleaner feel and an overall groove you can bob your head to. This sounded way to forced, generic and overly programmed. I'll patiently wait for their next project if they do.
I gotta say, this is the best track yet, I respect all your work on finding the sound that suits you keep working on it you can do it, you don’t have to sound like defamed to be good I’ll be looking forward on what you’ll be releasing in the future.
@@DrownInSulphur You can't hear much from them. He plays a couple of bars of blast beats between 210/240 bpm in each video, do sloppy fills and plays double bass not faster than 200/210 bpm without a trigger so that nobody can hear it is sloppy and slow.
@@linkolinguino it is very subjective and I’m in no way interested in debating it. It might not be metalcore, but it came from the roots of metalcore and has lot of fans of original metalcore sound might enjoy this, that’s why I said that. It does not matter though.

I trully think Drown in Sulphur has lost a lot when everyone left the band. Just by a quick look we can see that Defamed is on a really good vibe with their music when Drown in Sulfur try to adopt a black metal appearence but made a boring song, has a singer who can't vary his voice and generic riffs. I don't know the problem beetween all the members, this is just something I can hear, this are two different bands, there is a place for each, but for now I hope more from Drown in Sulfur (and please stop this black metal look, you look like teenager in adolecent crisis). PS : I love your older songs, I'm not just someone here to criticise you without hearing the band once
From what I've seen, the drummer for DIS took over all of the social media accounts for the band and kicked all of the other members out, who then went on to form Defamed and keep killing it. I am not a huge fan of the new stuff by DIS myself
