DROWNING a motorcycle is EASY in MADAGASCAR [S7-E96]

In this episode, I am riding to Kirindy forest, in Madagascar, together with my local guide Didier. I'm renting a KTM350 but riding here during the rainy season is very, very tricky. The water levels are about waist high, but since you can't see the bottom, it's a gamble. Every. Single. Time.
Want to learn how to use drones, GoPros and 360 cameras to film your solo motorcycle adventure? Check out: www.itchyboots.com/academy
Here I teach all my filming techniques including getting drone shots while riding!

Noraly is incredible. That riding through the water had me puckered up, but she did it. In my younger years I did a lot and I mean a lot of dirt bike riding. That was pretty intense. Once I had to tow my nephew 10+ miles through serious rugged terrain after he drowned his Honda X-R 250. I also had the same bike to tow him with. Those old 250’s were tough. Can’t believe my clutch held up.

❤I lost a son unexpectedly 2 years ago. He had just turned 34. He left a wife and 2 small children. I was so down, no inspiration for anything. Itchy Boots - Noraly gives me the inspiration to do stuff. @@turtle-frogs According to Science Direct there has been only a 29% loss of forest cover in the past 2 decades. According to another study done by American University it has lost around 50 percent of its forest cover since the beginning of human habitation. For Madagascar to lose that much is quite devastating because it didn't have a large amount of forest in the beginning, only. Wikipedia claims have been made of losing 80 to 90 percent of forest cover since human habitation, but it hasn't got any real evidence to back up that claim. William J. McConnell and Christian A. Kull wrote that the natives burnt the forests over a thousand years ago, but of course proving that is nearly impossible.

Now I wont hesitate if anyone ever offers to ride with me who is experienced because Im a very new rider so alot slower than experienced riders, tbh its probably a good reminder for them to remember how they rode once upon a time. Dont be mistaken im not calling itchy boots slow, just the contrast because she could ride a while country in the time I would likely take to ride just some of the tracks shes been on :) I love watching her skills and confidence increase in every video and most importantly having fun while doing it!

Great scenery and how much of a "mud biker" you have become. Thank you for sharing the animals and food and just laughing about the conditions that you face every ride. Love it! Be safe girl! And to your guide for helping you! Enjoy!

This is what is all about in exploring on a motorcycle, no need for a heavy machine which some riders believe bigger is better. It's just you, your motorcycle and nature which makes you focus of admiring the scenery, enjoy the wind, and where you take your bike on the trail, your mind clears itself of all the stress and troubles you have or know; when it's over, it is a "good tired and relaxing", thanks Noraly, I can just feel what you are riding through, good thing my computer doesn't splash mud and water at me, just funin.

What an amazing scenery !! Beautiful Baobab trees and lush green surroundings make it picture- postcard perfect. It goes without saying that Noraly's choice of background music is perfect too. The most striking aspect of the video was the speed at which they rode through the jungle track. Fantastic riding skills they got as it didn't look easy. Enjoyed every second of the vlog ... way to go !

I saw this type of road about 19 years ago while working in the timber industry and I'm having a slight dose of PTSD. I ducked from mud being sprayed on me too while watching this. Thanks for the travels you take us on, Noraly. Stay safe always.

If she continues to go straight through the middle of "unknown depth" puddles, in her gambling approach, she will drown her bike, and be stuck in the mud...that is what will go wrong. and then she will need the help of others obviously...Best to avoid that and just go around the shallow edges, like everyone else does in the off roading world.....Seems odd that she doesn't know that yet....

Way back in 1985, I had the privilege of working in Madagascar for a few months so it’s a real treat to watch your adventures there, Noraly. We were pretty busy taking care of a bunch of helicopters so I didn’t get to see as much as you are seeing but I got around a bit and saw some amazing things. I hope that you get to visit the limestone forest because that was one of the most amazing things that I have ever seen. Thanks so much for taking us along on your adventures.

Noraly, if you had gotten any more mud on you, you would have blended in with the road, becoming your own version of a chameleon 😂 I love the shot of the mud overcoming the camera at 11:08 . And the canopy of Baobabs at 2:37 were absolutely beautiful. Amazing they are nearly a millenium old ❤ Great ride today
