A judge in the U.S. District Court in Seattle sentenced a drug dealer to federal prison for trafficking fentanyl to patients near a Seattle methadone clinic.
At a sentencing hearing Monday morning, prosecutors said Mohamed A. Muse, 37, of Kent, sold fentanyl, cocaine and heroin to vulnerable people who were trying to overcome drug addictions.
"To intentionally target people who are trying to save themselves from the scourge of addiction makes this crime particularly reprehensible," said Assistant United States Attorney Yunah Chung.
According to court filings, investigators identified Muse as one of the primary drug traffickers in the area of South Airport Way and Holgate Street, steps away from the Evergreen Treatment Services clinic.
