Drugstore Foundation for Fair/Pale skin: Swatches and First Impressions 

+courtheartsbooks Don't hate me, but Ulta doesn't carry Nars. Which I haaaaaaaaaate. I have to go to Sephora or oder it online. So obnoxious. Lol, haha yes, glittery powder is NOT helpful. Mine didn't for some reason... Hmmmmmm.

@@geministargazer9830 I tried their products, and they're really just... eh. Not good at all, in my experience. I am also very Irish, btw! But yeah, their charcoal mask, the paste one, did nothing, and their moisturizing type mask that's like a film that covers your face doesn't even stick whatsoever & just feels slick and gross and it's a total waste, unfortunately. I wish they worked for me, but after trying two products by them that are so horrible, I am not at all eager to try their brand for a third time. I may, in the future, give them one last shot, but I dunno. Point is, they just haven't been great at all for me, & in fact my experience has been quite the opposite. Alas!

I've used this and it's nice if you need it, but not amazing imo. It thins your foundation a bit and makes coverage lighter, but that's just been my experience. And also, I find it way easier to find warmer/yellow-based light foundations than cool. I've actually had a hell of a time finding cool and neutral pale foundations but it's really easy for me to pick up/find warmer ones.

try mixing some together maybe? or buying a white foundation to lighten one thats too dark

there's a white foundation on Amazon called : manic panic. I use it to mix with my foundation.

Palest foundation at Sephora/Ulta is the Makeup Forever HD Matte Velvet in the color Alabaster! Try that, it helps a ton- or buy Manic Panic white or The Body Shop's lightening drops.

Most unfortunately aren't neutral (pink or yellow). I would suggest buying a white foundation (Manic Panic makes a great one on Amazon) to mix in with one you already have.

I bought it in a drugstore here in Europe but they freaking discontinued it just now... I managed to get only one backup, so sad :'( I swatched the newest shade of the Catrice Liquid Camouflage Concealer, it didn't oxidize and it's very light too. I don't think the Catrice Velvet Finish Concealer will ever make it to the US because on Ulta they have the new catrice stuff already.

Sarah McDonald on pale skin most of makeup look darker even lightest shade(foundation/concealer)sometimes you need to cope with it like wearing them slightly darker than your actual skin tone it’ll also make dramatic/colorful makeup look more wearable on you

+Behind TheMask I've actually tried both. It honestly depends on the type of foundation. I say try both (you can return with receipt- even if you've opened it) and see which you're the most comfortable with!

Kat von D shade 42 is very very pale and with a strong pink undertone :) Also the lightest shade of makeup forever ultra hd has a neutral undertone but it becomes a bit pink when oxidices.

I know it's been a year and you may have found something, but Revlon Colorstay in 110 Ivory was perfect for me color wise. I think it's a little more neutral, but I do have pink undertones and it blends well with the color of my neck. It's like $8-12 I think, so really affordable. Although, I have dry skin and the formula for normal/dry skin does stick to any dry patches I have so it's my only qualm with it. Medium coverage, which I don't mind personally. But it's a 100% perfect color match to me. For something more high end($35 USD), Illamasqua Foundation in 02 looks like it's amazing for really pale skin. It also appears to look more neutral since cool-based skins don't look as pink when wearing it. But it's not warm. When I can, I'm looking into trying it out personally. I recommend looking at Pale Thing and Ana Alayne's channel since they've both used it and they're *very* fair women.

I got color matched at Sephora and ended up with Cover FX in shade p20. It’s $44 so I’m trying to find a close dupe so I can return it 😞😞

+Meghan Dorsey Lol, "Sunburned Ronald McDonald!!!" I bare touch the blush and then tap the heck out of it to get the excess off the brush THEN if needed, swatch the back of my hand and THEN apply to cheeks. You can always build up, but you can't take off.

So I'm now wondering if maybe I shouldnt be using the urban decay foundation either? it's so difficult knowing what matches my skin tone and what doesn't 😳 but i have noticed that my face is naturally a shade darker than the rest of my body (or so I feel). I think I'm gonna go watch some of your videos where you mention your fav cheaper brands of foundation so I can try those first before buying the nicer brands to see if I like the lighter match better. I have yet to find a drugstore foundation that is as pale as MAKE UP FOR EVER Mat Velvet + Mattifying Foundation in Alabaster. Try Manic Panic makeup (amazon) white and mix a drop or two into your foundation.

I don't find their lightest shade o the foundation light enough BUT the mineral concealer in "blondie" is lighter and is a match for me. The coverage is really decent too and I love it. I like to dust it over liquid products or use it alone :)
