People will probably not agree with me, but as someone who grew up with 14+ years of acting expeience, Danielle is actually very natural in front of camera. Now, I'm sure her being type cast as kind of a "hood girl" probably makes everything come off easier for her, but either way, she actually did pretty good for a first time acting. It was forced, seemed like a natural conversation with a few weird pauses, which is exactly how most conversations go when you strrike up a conversation with a checkout/front desk employee. To really jugde her depth as an actress i would need to see her play a character completely opposite of herself. But from this little bit hear, she seems to be a natural actress. I've seen in recent interviews and she's actually admitted that a lot of her personality when she was younger was played up for the cameras and that she actually is very quiet and tries to avoid conflict in real life. That tells me right there that she is a character, because the whole world legitimately thought the ratchet white girl image was her, when actually, it was the opposite. And the thing is, she sold that role, like the image she made for herself seemed real so she obvious knows how to play characters, but even then that is different from scripted movies in front of a camera on a set. I guess I'm taking a long-winded rant to say that she's a natural actress and i wouldn't mind seeing her act more in the future. She has said that while she might return to music, she's not 100% sure that she will. She has said she likes the privacy she has nowadays, which is understandable given her early career. However, there's plenty of private celebrities who keep a low profile and i feel like that's easier for actors to do than musicians. If she wants to stay completely out of the spotlight I respect that. But I think if she wanted to, she could make some extra pocket change if she occasionally takes up an acting role here and there.
