It's sad a road was carved though the old stone circle. Maybe the people who removed stones felt the druid vibe of the place and feared it. Its a lovely location, and I'm glad they left a few stones.

Beautiful, you should make a book of all your pictures of fair bridge and circle ,

I hope this doesn't come across as condescending, I find the area dead charming, second only to the charm of the locals. We love the area, the welcomes we have received from the people wamrs the very cockles of our hearts. Can't wait to get back. Very bad, rude and crude remarks toward Covid Omicron.

Excellent video. Very interesting. If its just the three stones left it might be a representation of the Father Son and Holy Spirit Trinity. I think thats what happened to the stone circles in Fortingall.

must admit you have a nack for finding these historical sites, I am not a druid but they should have never built a road through it, another great video mate

Fascinating. It looks as if the site is right in the middle of a large amphitheatre formed by the surrounding hills, which supports the idea that it was a carefully chosen spot. Makes it all the more frustrating that some historic jobsworth decided to drive a road right through the middle of the circle!!

If I'm not mistaken, author John Buchan (author of The Thirty-Nine Steps and Governor-General of Canada) came from there. He became Lord Tweedsmuir.

Were the remaining stones conceivably too large to conveniently move?

🤦‍♂️ everyone knows it's bad luck to build a road through a stone circle. You shouldn't have stood in it !

Hi Mark, I've maybe missed it, but is there a way that you can be contacted. I would like to discuss with you regarding Knights Templars 😉
