This is a great video! Two incredible drummers discussing "losing their way" and talking "safety nets". Improvisation, compositions in drum solos and having a theme. Thoroughly enjoyed this video.

That’s why I use the PolyNome app. Program the click for a specific thing you are working on and just have a playlist of like 10 things at a time I am working on and it’s tracking how much time I’m spending on each thing. Keeps me organized like a syllabus. Feels great to increase the tempo on something and save that change or update the subdivision and I don’t have to remember where I was
