In this video I continue building my 28" drum sander with lifting drum. In this part I made a lifting mechanism based on an old car shock absorbers and M20 threaded rod.

Thats the first time here on RU-vid, i see the concept of lifting the sandingdrum instead of the table.. Thats a much better solution..in my opinion.. I also want to build a thing like this, but with electric lift, like i did on my table saw build.. Anyway..thanks for the inspiration and greets from Germany.

Привет, а что за средство оцинковку убирает? Преобразователи ржавчины все же вроде прозрачные.

Вроде все хорошо, но стоило предусмотреть устройство натяжения цепи. В этом случае было бы проще юстировать положение барабана, сначала юстировка, потом одел цепь и натянул. А так придется как-то выходить из положения.
