Interesting, he started with the opening riff from Dream Theater's "Metropolis". Then "Billy Jean". Snare scratching from Drumbassadors. Great independance. Very fun solo.
Juan is at a level one can only dream of reaching. His RU-vid lessons are awsome an extremely easy to understand. But learning what he teach is a whole other ball park.
@@AndrewRooneyDrums he does some insane shuffle grooves on his channel, and he breaks down his grooves into parts, slows em right down and helps you build up the groove. some of them are mind breakers
Can I just say, that my day is nearly incomplete if I haven't watched a video from you man. Thanks. ever since the video from stef broks I just want to start playing more again. His style really resonated with me. It's odd how small the world is, you sitting in Auckland and the subcribers like me all over the world. keep on making vids, "mate". I wonder if you can do the HAKA?
I used to just watch all of these drum off winners... you should check out Ramon Sampson’s win in... 2011? Just incredible. Made me want to sell my set and pick up guitar lol. He’s a whole different breed.
Drum Off competitions are so humbling. You think you are the shit and then some 9 year old shows up that makes you look like yesterdays coffee grinds. There is always someone better than you. Just do your thing and have fun doing it, be polite, don't get a big head and never stop learning.
something you said about upright bass, although it's not upside down...ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KfFBdViZHzk.html at about 2:00. And Gene Krupa's version ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-r8gvJnhTY2s.html
