I really enjoy Jason Takes Manhattan but I am well aware that it is not a good movie. People needs to be objective and stop criticizing for no reasons. I listen to your reviews all the times and even if I don't always share your ideas I always find you well spoken and entertaining. Keep on doing what you do. Great job Lee!

@@shadowninja13th40 Not really, if you ask me. It is very weird to find a slasher sequel that it's not shit but with remakes it's more varied. You got remakes like The texas chainsaw massacre, Friday the 13th, Halloween (Theater's cut), The hills have eyes, Evil dead, Suspiria this year and so on. At least remakes do something that most of the slasher sequels don't: they respect the original material.

you had to mention Courtney Cox’s bangs😭 Scream 3 is, funnily enough, probably my most watched of the franchise. i love the early 2000’s feel of it. and interestingly, the third act is my least favourite part of the movie. definitely the worst of the 4, though

In defense of Rachel Talalay, she has since proven that she can direct really really well, and she could probably do a terrific Freddy movie now. I think it was just that back then, they were determined to send Freddy off with this kind of a party movie and nobody cared much about the artistic side of the character anymore, he was a joke. Anyway, I don't really have a Top 10 list, but my least favourite slashers all seems to be more modern, higher-budgeted films, because they lack the charm of the homemade 70s-80s stuff.

@@DrumdumsMovieReviews I am 100% sure that it has been said dozens of times, but among all the shit horrors and slashers Scream 3 is still a very decent movie. Of course it is the weakest Scream, but you know what I mean. Also it's not really Wes' fault. Scream 3 had a lot of production troubles beside the obvious reason why it was worse, the lack of Willimson. Cheers Man.

I met Matthew Lillard (From Scream) in 2017 & he told me Scream 3 was so bad cause they had to rewrite the script in a hurry & the film was rushed. He even agreed it was bad.

The only movie I liked on this list was Jason Takes Manhattan. I agree with everything else. Friday the 13th p8 is cheesy, yes, it's bad, but one of those "so bad it's enjoyable" movies for me. I know a lot of fans hate it, but there's no way we're all gonna agree on everything. I enjoy hearing different opinions. If we all agreed on everything, where's the fun in that?

i kind of loved Hell Fest honestly. there was just something about it that i found a ton of enjoyment in. there was just such a fun atmosphere, i thought some of the kills were kind of gnarly, and it wasnt trying to be too scary. it feels like a movie rhat could introduce people to horror films without being too scary and putting them off it. i also thought the plot was pretty well constructed and pretty creepy at times. other than hell fest though, i agree with pretty much everything else. most of these movies are really garbage.

The terrible texas chainsaw movie was released in 1995 named 'The Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre' the first time it was released it made hardly any money so it was shelved, but once Matthew Mcconaughey and Renée Zellweger got popular they rereleased it in 1997 under the now known name *The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: A New Beginning*

I describe Hellfest the exact same way. The premise is amazing, the setting is wonderful and spooky, and it builds up great tension....and then the kills are either boring, the head-cut off thing doesn't happen and a much worse kill does, and the two main characters live for some reason? even though this is a slasher and they're really not great characters, so it gives you blue balls basically. Builds up tension and just does not deliver with something that could have been a fun movie to revisit near Halloween. Could it have been a great movie just by fixing the kills alone? No. But it could have been a pretty damn good one.

I’m not gonna lie, I find Jason Takes Manhattan to be some decent fun, and I don’t think Scream 3 is too bad. I also think Seed of Chucky, while not necessarily good, it enjoyable. I agree on the rest though. Sleepaway Camp 3 has some fun moments, but I feel like it lacks the energy of part 2. Freddy’s Dead is awful, Halloween Resurrection is terrible. I haven’t seen the Prom Night remake, but I certainly don’t want to after watching this! There are a lot of great slasher movies, but there are some really bad ones as well. A great one? May. Someday!!!

Great Ranking Lee! I actually like Sleepaway Camp III: Teenage Wasteland quite a bit but, I don't love it like I love The First Two! Your not wrong about anything else though in my book. I know that a lot of people including you dislike Sleepaway Camp III: Teenage Wasteland and I respect that but, I like it because I feel like it brings more of what we got in Sleepaway Camp II: Unhappy Campers even though they didn't do it as Great as they did in Part II. I love The Kill in Part III when that one guy is sleeping and then he gets a cherry bomb put up one of his nostrils by Angela when he's fast asleep and then all of a sudden his face explodes. It's Awesome! I can agree that Part III is nowhere near as Great as Parts I and II but, I find it to be a Decent Closing Chapter to this Trilogy! I know that they made one or two more films in this series but, I have no desire to watch those since I'm happy with what we got from The First Three Movies. 😎👍

Imo the worst thing a slasher can do is cross the line and be so unbelievably mean spirited that it actually leaves you depressed afterwards. Wrong Turn 5 and Saw 3D are what stand out to me as examples.

Death Central it’s cheesy as shit, but it’s funny.. lots of nostalgia for me.. used to watch it in the 90s.. the kills are insanely over the top and funny.. and the writing is awful.. if you like cheesy 80s horror, it’s one to the best.

Hey Lee. Love that ending to your vid. That was freaking classic!! I'm with you on Hellfest. It had so much potential with the carnival setting but it did not deliver. For me it was the annoying characters that ruined it. I just couldn't get behind any of them. Anyways, very nice ranking.

The most redeemable thing about Halloween Resurrection is its Cinematography. In fact next 4 its probably the best camera work in a halloween sequel. Love this list but I will defend the Prom Night remake tell the day i die.

Bad or not, Freddy's Dead gave us a Johnny Depp cameo (Whom, as we fans remember, played a Jock in the original movie) rein acting the infamous "This is your brain." anti-drug PSA then getting slammed in the face by Freddy with the frying pan where Freddy retorts something most thought after seeing the original commercial: "Yeah. What are YOU on? Looks like a frying pan and some eggs to me." This puts the movie up a notch in my book.

I remember "Freddy's Dead," and I think it has some redeeming value to it. What about all the scenes that take place in Freddy's mind, and give the audience a glimpse as to what made Freddy in the first place? Yeah, it's silly and essentially a Looney Tunes cartoon, but that's what they were going for.

Also, who considers seed of Chucky the worst horror movie? It's bad but that's not even bottom of the Barrel for this genre.

I mostly agree with you But I liked Freddy’s Dead I liked the comedy and my favorite kill when he killed the kid in the video game and granted Jason Takes Manhattan isn’t good BUT if I was going to put a Friday movie on the list it would be Jason Goes To Hell in my opinion they basically slapped Jason’s name on it stuck him in the beginning and end of movie

I'm with you on PG-13 horror movies, especially slashers. I can't say I hated the Prom Night remake as much as you do. I am wondering if you have seen the old 80s movie "Hell Night"? That is one of my all time favorite movies and I believe *should* be remade because a lot of people have never heard of it.

I love I still know what you did last summer :( I also enjoy many of the movies you counted, like Prom Night, Scream 3, Seed of Chucky ...I am happy that one of my all time favorites isnt on the list, Black Christmas (2006) yes i know! every single living being hates the movie except for me, but i dont care, I love the characters, the kills, the locations and I dont think I’ve ever seen a more beautiful cinematography in a horror movie ever.
