Swear handful of yall hating on cookman like it really shows.....Christmas lights? Bet yall wont see another drumline look that entertaining for a long time... I mean listen to the crowd when cookman started playing compared to other drumlines that played smh
Only reason y'all got the crowd response was because of the lights. You know 75% and thinking bout what y'all playing. Take away the lights and y'all would've gotten the same response like everyone else. Quit playing
The last thing WT needs to hear is about their tone. If you haven't noticed already they choose this sound to replicate a drum set sound. Say what? Yes, you heard it, a drum set sound. No, I don't want to spell it out for you, and Jsu is the best IMO, this is their style. They're much more rudimental than that, but since they're put in a spot of a huge crowd why not play something the crowd will remember?
Bethune Cookman gets the W. They had a good assortment of rudimental material and grooves.The lights on the drums aren't classless its to show some creativity. This feature shows how diverse each section of Cookman drumline really is. SCSU and JSU would get 2nd and 3rd respectively. On that note let's have a little respect for all the drumlines that performed. They all worked really hard to put these features together and they all were pretty good.
Kenneth Williams that won't be a battle. By far Cookman would smoke them. We don't need to gush in no cadence, pure rudiments Kidd. And that sectional Shit don't cut it either!
If you feel that BCU sound was cleaner and was chopping then that is on you. I prefer JSU style and the fact that they are different. JSU has the best band and that is all to it.
Edward Allen dude get out your feelings.. First off JSU looks like they copying Southern Style of play and Grambling... I live in Florida anyone can see that..... And if JSU was better than BCU trust me I would let it be known.. I played snare 4 years in college and since 6th grade.. I know what what I'm talking about... That's not cutting it...
Obviously you are not educated because like I said in the previous post that is your opinion and I have mine, JSU is not copying no ones style but their own. They are in the same blood (SWAC) just like BCwhoooo copy off of FAMU and SCSU. I too live in Florida and what???? If JSU wanted to play classical and/or a church style they can. They choose to be different and I like their sound and style.
+tracye davis your proof that people really be hating because the lights were only used twice so how do say its lame. Is it because the show was really that good and no one could perform up to par bet no other drumline will do something that entertaining in a long time. I honestly dont care, but you have to admit their style is very unique. I dont see why its so wrong to like something just cause it doesnt go with your standards? im unbiased and honestly nobody won in this competition. Very entertaining tho
