Good reaction. This is one of their most popular and most liked songs - and it was one of their earliest songs as they recorded it in 2012 when they were still in Sakura Gakuin. I was so happy it was on the set list for their European tour in 2020 so I could experience it in person.🤘 The song is about a girl going to her first concert on her 15th birthday, but it is also a coming of age thing. There are many special performances of 'Headbanger' and all of them worth watching. On or near their 15th birthdays in 2014 Su handed the mic and stand to Yui (in Paris) and Moa (in Cologne) half way through the song and they took over lead vocals. (There are fancam videos for these) In 2019 the same thing happened at Legend M for Moa's 20th birthday - the lyrics were changed to "...this special night of my 20th..." That one is known as Moabanger, the BM reactor resource has the video. This video was a compilation with clips from many different concerts over several years. The performance most often recommended is from Legend 1997, Gans Tomas has that one safe to use.

Nice reaction, thanks! "Headbanger" is a great song and one of their earliest hits. A very special one since it has been used for birthday related special occasions. This is a fan-made compilation of several live performances (probably 10 of them). And in my opinion, it's not the best way to better appreciate their work (and the Kami Band's). I'd like to suggest you "Ijime, Dame, Zettai" (Live at Sonisphere 2014) it's on their official channel. It's considered one of their most important moments.

Babymetal got me in to the Japanese foxhole of awesome rock, hardrock, metal and punk. I will for ever be grateful for Babymetal. I even found my way back to the Japanese cult punk band Shonen Knife that I heard for the first time 30 years ago and they still playing after 40 years!

if you want the best experience, definitely get to one of theirs shows. Its absolutely insane and the most amazing experience you will ever have.

Babymetal is ALL about crowd interaction. All their sets are designed with that in mind. Be a big venue such as that (and even Tokyo Dome where they sold out two nights in a row to 55,000), or a smaller one with only 4000. I went to their show when they were here in Seattle and it was absolutely amazing.

I was skeptical the first time I herd them but instantly got hooked they are unlike any band I have ever herd every video is a mystery they keep u guessing wich is one of things I like

BABYMETAL performed this song as 10th song in the two-day concerts in January this year. I was there ヽ(^o^)丿. The crowd's massive headbanging occurs wherever BM goes on this planet. In this video, you heard the crowd shout some words at 03:55. The words are "ki-e-ro 消えろ!" meaning "get out of here!" (addressed to crybabies in the metal concert). This crowd's shout in Japanese occurs whenever Su-Metal turns her mic towards audiences. What's more, you can see the crowd doing "Dogeza" 「土下座」 (= kneel & bow until forehead touches the ground). That is the most abject and disgraceful way to show apology or unconditional surrender in Japan. We never see people doing it happily and smilingly in other place than BM concerts. I understood Dogeza became the most honorable way to show strong tie within BM fanbase in the world when I saw many American people doing it at the Forum, LA on Oct.11, 2019. Of course I did Dogeza 2 times in January with bliss 🤣

Dude, when I first got introduced into babymetal, I nearly shit myself. lmao. Such a wild sound and crazy insane band and insane vocals that have just gotten better with age. You should watch their entire LIVE from BOKUDAN days 1 & 2 concerts. they're in full on youtube and the comments have timestamps of songs. Im serious when I say you wont be disappointed. Their stage presence is insane too. This video gained you a new follower (: thanks for the good content and enjoying one of my favorite bands.

this is probably one of the best videos to just say : babymetal is one of the best live bands you can ever see . I saw Rammstein , what is supposed one of the best ones in the world aswell , and saw babymetal in Germany in 2023 aswell. But if someone would ask me , i would say i enjoyed Babymetal 10 times more.. just because of the huge amount of energy they provide. And in the video you can perfectly see , whatever their age .. wherever they play at.. the crowd.. is theirs !

Babymetal faced some harsh things from the metal community (well more like the elitists) but were supported and backed by the big ones like Rob Zombie, Metallica, Rob halford etc. with the latter there is a live concert where he sung Breaking the law with them on stage and Su's face is just pure joy during that. I think it even was her Birthday if I recall correctly

Old school metal head that loves Babymetal! The way the include the crowd is something I miss from a lot of new bands. Plus they act like they belong in a stadium even as opening band. Most modern bands act like they’re still a bar band.
