Drummer reacts to "I Love The World" by New Model Army 

I talked to Michael about this and it’s his favourite Robert drum part to play. Rob led with his right hand on this song. Michael was Roberts drum tech before he got ill and unfortunately passed away at a young age. He told Justin Michael was the one to carry the band forwards. NMA has always been a drum and bass heavy band and both Robert and Micheal are very musical drummers. Highly underrated for my money. 🤘🤘🤘

Thanks for that, New Model Army (named after the anti-Royalist army in the English civil war were first formed in an unfashionable northern city in England in 1980 but they've got a long history so I'm not going to attempt to give a shortened version but they're still making albums and touring, in fact the next album is due in a few days, they've announced some European dates for this year and will probably be in America later on. One thing about them which you might not have noticed is how carefully they write the lyrics. Great band and great song. The drummer on this live recording is Michael Dean, Robert Heaton was the drummer with the band until about1998 and is credited, alongside vocalist Justin Sullivan, as songwriters for this track.

I'm so glad I heard this, there is a heck of a lot good New Wave that never saw success. One band Disarray were friends of mine in fact if you hear a recoding of them I made it.

Some tracks of N.M.A. that are my favorite drum parts.. Angry planet, better than them, wonder way to go, killing, over the wire, seven times, horsemen, bullet, rumor and rapture. Every single song has meaning on one level or another. These are songs for your own inner truths whatever they may be. Mostly justin wants people to be self aware. He's like the musical prophet of the ages.
