This channel is devoted to discovering new music! I love all genres and but this channel will be mainly focused on any GOOD music. I am a drummer (not very good) and also love drum cam vids! I try to have a relaxed setting with little graphics or effects or cuts. You get to see a real reaction! With no cuts or edits! I also give commentary immediately after listening to the song without coming back later. You get my fresh thoughts and feelings on the track!
If you are interested in featuring your band on the channel, please email L33ReactsYT@gmail.com

When Respect came out it was an instant hit 'n got massive airplay on AM radio. She owned that song! Shout out to Otis Redding for allowin' Aretha to do a cover version.
You'll wanna check out Roy's album Mystery Girl, released a month before he up 'n died. Three standout tracks are: She's A Mystery To Me (co-written by U2's Bono 'n The Edge specifically for Roy), You Got It (co-written by Roy 'n his Travelin' Wilburys mates) 'n A Love So Beautiful-a gorgeous ballad co-written by Roy 'n Jeff Lynne). So wonderful to hear him at the top o' his game 'n so tragic to lose him at age 52.
There are beautiful versions of this song: The studio one is great (Dire Straits) The 1985 Wembley live version is great The 1986 calypso version in Sydney (Dire Straits) is cool The Emmylou Harris and MK duet live version from 2006 is another nice one…
A little background. Barry Gibb (lead singer) On September 1, 2024, he celebrated his 78th birthday, along with his 54th wedding anniversary with his wife Linda. They have 4 sons and one daughter who is the youngest. Also, 7 grandchildren. At the age of 18 months, he pulled a pot of hot tea from off of a table. His mom said he didn't speak for a long time (close to 2 years.) He was close to dying because there was no skin grafting back then and gangrene was beginning to set in. Barry said he has no memory of it happening, just the scars to prove it on his torso and arm. Robin (left) and Maurice (right) were fraternal twins. Maurice Gibb (December 22, 1949 - January 12, 2003) heart attack, while getting surgery for twisted intestines. Survived by his wife and 2 adult children. Robin Gibb (December 22, 1949 - May 20, 2012) doctors found out he had the same intestinal problems as Maurice. When they went in to fix it, they found cancer. He is survived by his wife and 4 adult children. Andy Gibb ** (March 5, 1958 - March 10, 1988) ** He was too young to sing with his brothers. He had his own successful career. He and Barry could have been identical twins. He had a bad heart. Andy is survived by one daughter. They wrote their own songs and wrote and produced songs for a lot of other artists. On a side note, the first born is their sister, Lesley (Gibb) Evans. (January 12, 1945.) She can sing, but she did not want to be in the limelight. She lives a quiet life. She and Barry are the last two surviving members of the family. Maurice passed away on Lesley's 58th birthday. They were so popular that some radio stations had a 'Bee Gees free' weekend. NO requests for their songs. There's so much to write about them. I recommend the following songs: (I know it's a lot. ) Staying Alive ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-I_izvAbhExY.htmlsi=7p2Pbvfime9eHGc-&t=1 How Deep Is Your Love ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XpqqjU7u5Yc.htmlsi=TJzrh9ns2v1rUvnH You Should Be Dancing (Andy is with them in this video: from the movie Saturday Night Fever) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Auo29DPfZ2E.htmlsi=XevU5_t8wV8gQCBS&t=1 Spirits Having Flown ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WWBFpoErDCM.htmlsi=3mpRsV0a-kfCMDWX (Our Love) Don't Throw It All Away (Andy Gibb) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rBvtbGbKjYE.htmlsi=nxChUw6mLu1xp0CR You Win Again ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KZY9oYSSjFI.htmlsi=tNkXzwYEE2uOUi1I Secret Love ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iVseOSFTGAw.htmlsi=5DFjJ0rTH1_6GvEw For Whom the Bells Toll ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jTowyYFXIUY.htmlsi=kqPuP-VmVOO8dkca One ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eP_a9XrHZgE.htmlsi=5RF5M5H_P1aXflUQ
Yamo say you gotta check out The Who's incendiary performance o' My Generation from The Monterey Pop Festival. The crowd were not prepared for what went down on stage 'n stared in disbelief when it ended. You also wanna see The Jimi Hendrix Experience close out their Monterey show with Wild Thing. Jimi decided to get wild after The Who's antics that night.
Nothing to Say wasn't a hit with me at first. Later my lyrical analysis led me to see the song being about someone who had gone mute in the face of injustice and apathy. Now it's in my top 100 Tull tunes.
Criterion is responsible for the clean remaster o' Monterey Pop the film. They released it as multiple disc box sets on dvd 'n blu-ray includin' many outtakes 'n unreleased performances. I highly recommend The Jimi Hendrix Experience Live At Monterey- a separate disc which includes all o' the footage from his historic performance as well as a plethora o' fantastic bonus material, a must for all Hendrix fans.
"I think I love this!" Yes, brother, yes. This is a gold mine your stumbling in to now. He was in the Impressions before he went solo, and they are also worth checking out. This whole ablum soundtrack is fantastic.
Slime: Don Pardo Version... Also, most of the band is from the Saturday Night Live, the same week Zappa was on the Show doing the Slime running down the TV Screens. AKA: Blues Brothers band with John Belushi and Dan Akroyd B.T.W. LEE.... Soul Man from the BLUES BROTHERS was a smash hit back in the day. Worth a Review...!
The movie was blackploition but we didn’t see it that way back then plus the word did not exist. We saw it as a movie with good music. Since the movie is over 50 years old, you may not feel about it the way we did at that time and you probably can’t relate to it as well but that’s understandable.
Before Curtis Mayfield went solo, he was with a group called the impressions. He wrote the song it’s all right when he was still with the impressions ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-A3Qh9w9Yg8A.htmlsi=wRE8-G76j90LZvV2
I came to appreciate George's voice in retrospect. The main pop hits of Wham were not on my listening to list, but didn't dislike them and would jig along to them while juggling three under 3 kiddies. (The twins were called The Wham twins by staff in hospital down to our choice of names for them. I had to ask why they were called that lol ) But George had the most incredible voice and emotion. Thanks Gail.
sadly you missed the duet of Barbra and Neil singing You Don't Bring Me Flowers during the 1980 Academy Awards telecast - it took the audience by complete surprise and ended the telecast.
On this track Pat Metheny - guitar Lyle Mays - keys Steve Rodby - bass Paul Wertico - drums Armando Marçal - percussion Pedro Aznar - vocals and xylophone
Two Barbra selections I highly recommend because of the meaning behind the selections - "You W@ill Never Walk Alone" sung before the audience for the 2001 Emmy awards dedicated to those lost on 9/11 (here on You Tube) and the other is from the movie "Yentyl" that Barbra wrote, directed, produced and starred in (an Academy Award winner) and the selection on You Tube is "Yentyl Medley" a live concert at Anaheim in 1994 where she sings "Papa Can You Hear Me" and "A Piece Of Sky". "Yentyl" was like a dedication to the father she never had (he died when she was very very young)
Yesterday was the 54th anniversary of when Jimi left this world, and he's still the greatest !! In Monterey, , at the end of his show and at the end of the song " WILD THING ", he famously burned his guitar , you could react to that :)
The great James Burton (Elvis' Guitar player) and Bruce Springsteen trading leads, Elvis Costello and JD Souther (who wrote many Eagles songs and who passed away yesterday) Jackson Browne, Tom Waits on piano, KD Lang, Bonnie Raitt and several other greats all on that stage to backup and honor Roy Orbison. That entire show is amazing. George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and Jeff Lynn all said that their favorite part of the Traveling Wilburry's was watching and listening to Roy Orbinson sing. Get into more Roy Orbinson. One of the greatest of all time.
I went directly to the Monterey Pop Festival from playing my high school graduation party. We thought Jimi was a solo folk artist. He tore a big fat hole in the time space continuum. The entire gig was perfect. No hassles at all. I ate a cheeseburger at one of the picnic tables with Mama Cass, Brian Jones, and Pig Pen from the Dead. The stars and yahoos hanging out together. It changed everything.
I had not heard J.D. had passed. This makes me so, so sad. He was a singer and performer, but his real God-given talent was writing songs. His songs propelled to stardom so many singers and bands. This would be a great rabbit hole for you to jump into - doing songs J.D. wrote/co-wrote. You will be surprised at how many hits he wrote. A wonderful song he did - a duet with James Taylor called Her Town Too. You can really hear his voice better and experience his talent in the live verson video. Check out who his backing band was - all top-notch studio and touring great musicians - especially Leland Sklar on bass - another musician you should jump down a rabbit hole for. It is amazing how many super-stars Leland worked and recorded with, as well as J.D. Leland also has his own RU-vid channel - musically delightful and at times really funny!
Along with Springsteen, Browne and Wait Elvis Costello, K.D Lang, Jennifer Warnes are part of the band (the camera doesn’t show Jennifer and K.D. during this song but you see them on some other songs). The guitar player is the legendary James Burton, and the drummer is Ron Tutt. Both played with Elvis from the end of the 60’s to his passing. They also played with a bunch of other artists, including Neil Diamond. The bass player played with Elvis too if I remember well.
Robert "Waddy" Wachtel (born May 24, 1947) is an American musician, composer and record producer, most notable for his guitar work. Wachtel has worked as session musician for other artists such as Linda Ronstadt, Beth Hart, Stevie Nicks, Kim Carnes, Randy Newman, Keith Richards, The Rolling Stones (lead guitar on "Saint of Me"), Jon Bon Jovi, James Taylor, Iggy Pop, Warren Zevon, Bryan Ferry, Michael Sweet, Jackson Browne, Karla Bonoff, and Andrew Gold, both in the studio and live.[1]
So much talent in those 4 people and the editing of the video clips too.. This was a great time for her career. She went thru so many different incarnations. All amazing stuff
