Yay! Finally, success! Love how you pronounce it like the Lake. However, it's Táhô.😊 I'm a Filipino in the US now and so supportive of your journey! Keep up the excellent work, and keep being you!
Kurt there is a saying " if you are looking for it will not appear but, if you are not looking for it it will appear". Taho vendors have different time and routes. If on that day they past on that street at 8 am, the next day it will be on a different time. You have to live in that neighborhood to catch it.
Just before you had stopped to chat with those ladies, I was about to comment that you had caught on some live "maritessing" in progress! And then you stopped and joined in too! That's sooo funny! Hello, Mario!
Hi Kurt. Love your contents and it’s great that you are able to speak Tagalog fluently!!👏👏👏👏Also, with your channel always looking for Taho, You are making me crave the Taho!!😅 Just as an FYI in the pronunciation of “Taho” so, people can understand you better. There’s no emphasis on the first syllable (Ta^ho) like the way you pronounced Pu^sa( Cat) or U^maga(morning) . The emphasis should be on the last syllable like the way you pronounced “Sige” or “Gabi” or “Gamot” or “Manok” But overall your Tagalog is great!! Way better than all the foreigners who had lived in the Philippines for many years. 👍👍
🧡🧡🧡Nakakamiss ang taho, parte ng childhood ng mga bata. Pwede mong sabihin sa nagtitinda ng taho na konti lang ang 'arnibal' (sugar syrup) or no sugar. Masarap yan kasi freshly made everyday from pure soya beans. Masarap din ang hot soya milk, no preservatives dahil freshly made din.
Watering flowers/plants - nagdidilig ng bulaklak/halaman if it's random kids we usually say "mga bata" but if you are acquainted/gotten close to them or they are part of your family or extended you can say "mga anak". If they compliment your looks but to humble or to shy to acknowledge it we say "hindi naman po" or "sakto lang." 😉
kuya kapag nakita mo na ang magtataho sabihan mo na alukan ka nang araw araw kumbaga magiging suki ka na para hindi mo na kailangan hanapin araw araw 😊
Watering plants is nagdilig -past tense, nag didilig present tense, mag didilig future tense saka Yung right words Po sa pawis ng pawis na madalas nyong Sabihin kapag naiinitan kyo ay -pinagpapawisan
Kurt, the accent of taho is on the second syllable. TAH-HO' . . . BTW, when you ask a direction from the locals, you have to ask not only from one person, but from different persons. So, you won't lose your way. Because some people are not good in explaining and sometimes confused which is left and which is right especially those who have low education.
Kuya kurt, TAHÔ not TAHOE ( lake ) 😅 nalilimutan na iturô ito sa ngayon ang paggamit ng Â, Ê, Î, Ô, Û. Kapag may ganyan ang katinig ay binibigkas ng pabiglâ, example: opô ( yes with respect ), dalawampû ( 20 ), pagtitimpî ( patience ), etc...
Waiting for you to return in the Philippines, btw im also a vlogger too (food vlogger) 😅 nakakatuwa mga video mo, loving our language, foods, mas maganda nga sa probinsya presko, goodluck pagbalik mo👍
Try to go to Baguio and upper mountains , visit Palawan, Iloilo, guemaras, go to shargao , Davao , Cagayan de Oro , Cebu . There are many beautiful places here in the Philippines
Yes! Finally, you succeded sa paghahanap mo ng Tahô. Bago ka bumalik sa Utah. For Crowing Rootster/s, say TUMITILAOK ANG MANOK/ANG MGA MANOK. Root word: TILAOK
congratulations ! Finally found a taho vendor. those people you talk too, having christening are drunk, lol. When you come back next time, in the province, try the ballet, the gulaman, the fish ball.
"Po" and "Opo" is not just used when speaking to someone older than you. We also used it when speaking to someone who has higher position on you in a work environment, or when talking to a customer (if you're the store owner or an employee). Sometimes we also use it to start a conversation (or small talk) with a stranger.
Yeah you definitely hit the nail on the head. For sure it tastes like maple syrup oatmeal, but better!!! You can also find some recipes online to make your own homemade taho.
I love Taho. I always buy it whenever the Taho vendor comes to our street. But i always ask him to lessen the sugar syrup so that it won't be too sweet.
Maraming taho vendors like going the rounds in Pandacan, Paco, Sta. Ana (pronounced Santa Ana), etc. pero kasi dyan ka lang paulit-ulit sa Cembo (West & East), Rembo, Kalayaan, etc. Meron ding Taho outlets sa Mall. Marami ring Carinderia sa ibang districts sa Manila. Taho is pronounced with accent on 2nd syllable HO so it is pronounced Tahó. The sweetener is from Panucha (brown blocks of sweet), tapioca pearls, soya. As it is, all are Marites when it's chat time (story-telling). Not a hustler gossiper, we call that chismosa, negative connotation because that is a starter of petty fights.
Binabati kita at nagtagumpay ka rin sa wakas sa tinagal-tagal sa paghahanap mo ng taho Kuya Kurt! 👍👏 Dagdag kaalaman lamang po ito para sa iyo ang mga sumusunod; (Mga ibig sabihin ng mga acronyms) EMBO - ENLISTED MEN'S BARRIO CEMBO - CENTRAL Enlisted Men's Barrio COMEMBO - COMBAT Enlisted Men's Barrio PEMBO - PANTHERS Enlisted Men's Barrio REMBO - RIVERSIDE Enlisted Men's Barrio
MARITES is "Mare ano ang latest?" The Filipino version of Karen. Mare was derived from Kumare which means God Sisters. God Sisters: 1 is the parent of a child, who is the godchild of the other sister. Godchild is either the godson or goddaughter of a godparent through baptism or christening of the child. A godparent is the godfather or godmother (2nd parent) of the godchild. . . The male version of Marites is TO-LITS (inverted LITO) which means "Tol, what's the latest?" (Bro, what's the latest). BTW, dingding can only refer to walls inside the house or building while PADER can only refer to the walls outside the house or building.
6:30 nalampasan mo na yung taho.. hahaha ayun sa bandang kanan mo kuya kurt😂😂 ang taho vendor kuya kurt laging buhat buhat nya ay dalawang bucket. a large one and a smaller one made of aluminum something like that.. hahahaha. nilampasan mo na.😅😂 "PADING" combination of Pader at dingding..😂 may natutunan ako sayo kuya kurt.. ingat palagi.. ❤
Minsan sa Makati Ave kapag umaga nasasaksihan ko ang Meet up ng mga Taho Avengers. Para silang super hero nagpupulong pulong sa isang lugar tapos mayamaya lang they go on their separate ways at gagagawin na nila ang kanilang modus sa Makati! 😆
When you pronounce taho, it sounds like Lake Tahoe with a long ‘ho’ but should be a very short ‘ta’ and ‘ho’. Cut the ‘o’ quickly. Hope I’m able to explain it properly. Tita pronounced taho properly at 23:33
kuya mungkahi ko bumisita ka sa taal Batangas kasi malalim tagalog doon malapit pati sa Tagaytay puwede kang mamasyal na rin doon. para pumunta ka ng Tagaytay puwede ka sumakay ng bus sa One Ayala Terminal malapit lang ang Tagaytay sa manila mga dalawang oras lang na biyahe
